[Todd doesn't like the network, and on the rare occasion he uses it it's usually as text or voice. But that's either one of the inhibitions lowered by the stupid flood or it's more self-flagellation. Or both. Both is possible. The kid looks awful, pale and exhausted with soot and debris clinging to him that might well have been there since the explosions. He's in Nux's cabin, but he's found an out of the way corner of the Citadel to avoid being interrupted, and the background is just a poorly lit wall of rust, hard to make out unless you already know what you're looking at. His voice is low and almost monotone.]
Anybody who wants a crack at me, eh, I ain't gonna stop you.
[Nux and Pietro will try, sure, and though they're the only ones Todd credits, they're not the only candidates. But he won't.]
Nothin' that went down was... the idea was to trash stuff, not people. Do somethin' that'd make life harder for the wardens, not just annoy a couple'a inmates, make it so for a little while they didn't get to pretend that this place ain't a nightmare just 'cus it's got the same crap as a YMCA. Don't make a difference if I didn't want it to happen, though. It did. My fault. I didn't even know--that don't matter, neither.
[He's starting to lose the monotone, voice creeping up toward squeaky and panicked.]
Just 'cus it's my fault, though... I might hate it anyplace. I kinda do. But I still hate it here. It's still a freakin' hellhole. When wardens get nosy they always wanna know what you wanna do, right? Go home. That's all.
[Squeaky and faster now.]
An' at home, only way I can be is how I am now. Good guys ain't gonna take me. Hell, the Morlocks might not take me. They got an X-geek on the squad. I got the Brotherhood or I got nobody, an' there ain't options when yer the kinda freak I am. One more person says to go to another world... Who does that? Walks away from everything they ever might'a had, just to go someplace else where you got nothin' an' nobody an' yer still a hardcore freaky mutant who grosses everybody out an' barely even started high school? An' just never see anybody again, Freddy or Ma or... So that's it. I ain't got a way outta this. Just waitin' for the Admiral to get bored an' dump me.
[He calms down again with visible effort, realizing how stupid he's starting to sound.]
An' anyplace I did land, no gettin' away from me, y'know? So whatever I got comin', whatever. Can't hate me more than I do. I don't care.
[He shuts off the communicator before this gets worse.]

[Todd is usually in the Citadel where it's safe, and often accompanied when he does have to leave to run errands, but he sneaks out alone occasional.Definitely Maybe trying to get caught by somebody who'll mete out the payback he deserves, finding quiet spaces where he can. He's in the library a lot.]

Aggressively green, indistinctly artificial lime flavored hearts still available.

I probably would've been first to come out with suggesting a new world if we'd ever 'ad this conversation. It worked for me.
You don't need to get away from you. You need to learn 'ow to work your life so you stop wanting to. That's sort of what we do 'ere, you know.

You didn't think anyone could die from setting off bombs? The deaths weren't even permanent.
[And he struggles with this.]
Not sure what to tell you. Not going to say things will get better, because that's stupid. Not going to tell you not to try either. But some people just have nothing good going on. You know?
Just try.

[They're eye lasers, Scott, screw you.]
--Or teleport away or I just bounce off 'cus they're made of freakin' metal? I don't... Nothin' I do matters. Rules're different here. I screwed up, whatever's gonna happen's gonna happen. That part don't change.
[Sigh.]
I don't blame yah or nothin', but you bein' here kinda... I kinda already knew there wasn't gonna be anything different down the line. World ain't gonna change t'make room for creepy mutants with useless powers.

I'm... not mad at you about what happened. I'm mad that Alfie got you and Pietro in on it. And I'm worried. You shouldn't have to know what any of that crap's like.
And... you don't gross me out, at least. You're smart. I bet you could make pretty cool stuff if you wanted. And with high school... I started high school here. We used to have Barge High. I bet we could restart it. They somehow made it work for me and I suck at book stuff.

1-) Anybody tries to take a crack at you, they go through me. I don't care how you feel about 'kumbaya shit'.
2-) I know you never intended for people to get hurt.
All right, 3 things.
3-) I would take you in a heart-beat, if my world wasn't a death sentence for mutants right now.
