Hey, Alexei here. Just uh-- wondering if anyone here with prosthetic limbs would mind me taking a look at them? Don’t need to do anything, no funny business, just a visual exam and if you know how they work and interface with your nervous system, I want to hear about it.
Or if you’ve got experience with those kinds of things, that’s good too. Only so much I can get from reading books and I need a break from Varker’s fucking research papers before I lose my mind.
[God, save him from the research papers.]

[When he’s not in cybernetics either studying or tinkering in efforts to improve his knowledge, Alexei keeps to a relatively predictable schedule day by day.
In the late morning he’s usually in the gym for a couple of hours, alternating strength and cardio and generally available for anyone needing a hand with anything despite not having an official position there. Very occasionally he uses the swimming pool, though not often, and his swimming form is not terribly confident when held up against the other kinds of exercise he does.
The rest of his time usually cycles between the gazebo (doodling), library (studying, or reading old adventure books while sitting in weird positions), and returning to the gym for sparring or other things he’s helping people with, with occasional trips to the lounge if someone he knows is also there to have a drink with. He also uses the enclosure with semi-regularity to go walking and rarely minds company - there is occasionally horse riding involved, which he enjoys despite not being overly good at it.
Alexei is, generally, not as difficult to talk to as he once was and is usually ready with an easy smile, especially if he’s in a good mood.
In the very small hours of the morning, usually between midnight and 4am, he can sometimes be found on the deck just leaning on the railing and taking in the view, or plucking a tune out on a red bass guitar.]

Not here
At the top of the exam is written rules for the exam with 'read all questions before starting your exam' near the end. And if he does, he will notice that in some of the essay questions is instructions to not answer certain questions, the answers for others and a request to guess Varker's favorite color for extra credit.
The rules state that it is not open book, but another instruction further down says that if the answers to questions 3, 7 and 12 are all A(Which they are), the test is allowed to be taken open book.
Enjoy, Alexei.]

We don't know each other well enough for this kind of rough play, Varker. <3

Another note is left at his desk a few days later. Varker doesn't work in the infirmary as often any more so responses are delayed.]
No? Pity.
My aftercare routines are legendary, but if you say so, Alexei. I can be patient. Also, if you need a break from research papers, look up Chuck Tingle in the library, he's a palate cleanser for using your brain too much.

Maybe I'll think more seriously about doing the next one. Reconsidering the Assumption of Fixed Regenerative Limits in Higher Plants: An Integrative Model of Cellular Plasticity Following Catastrophic Tissue Loss was a real page-turner.

[ Of course he'd jump to that conclusion. ]
