As some of you have seen already, Stede graduated! He deserves all the credit, really. He did the hard work. Aaaah! I'm just so proud of him!

But that's not why I made this post. First, I wanted to say that I'm not going anywhere. It just... doesn't feel like I'm done, yet? I'd like some help making a trip off ship, but I'm hoping to plan it so I'm not gone from here for more than a day.

Second, and more important-

[She takes a breath.]

I've... mentioned this to a couple people, but I didn't want to make it too public until the deal was done. [In case something happened and she couldn't follow through on her promises.]

Jesus is alive, and with Rosita.

He was... a really good friend. As was Rosita. It wasn't fair, what happened to him. I couldn't just leave him.

There's a lot of lost inmates I'd make the deal for too, if I could.

I was dreading the likelihood I'd disappear before I could get a second deal. I still don't have my first, and it's already spoken for. I couldn't choose my brother over my world. That's been eating away at me.

There aren't words adequate to thank you for this.

I'm sorry! I thought about announcing it, but then I worried about what would happen if the ship lost me, or Stede-

-I was worried I'd make everyone who cared about him hurt worse, if I gave them false hope. It's- it's such a relief to know that it's done and he's okay, and I don't have to worry about losing the chance anymore.

Who's Jesus? And who's Rosita? You're saying those names like we should know them but I've gotta admit, the only Rosita I can think of is the Muppet.

Haha! I always forget that Jesus is the name of an ancient Earth prophet.

They're friends. People from the same world who were here for a while. Rosita graduated, and chose to leave after a bit. And Jesus... he came here as a warden, but he was dead in his world. When that happens, you have to use a deal to save yourself, otherwise when you go home? You're just... dead.

And then the Barge lost him, before he got his deal.

You can't use deals on lost inmates. I wish you could. But for wardens? It works. It's the least I could do for them.

I couldn't imagine leaving before seeing Cheradenine graduate, at the very least.

I'm going to visit some people who've gone home, mostly. But other than that, I suppose it's business as usual until I'm paired again?

Don't be so modest, Tendi! I really could not have done it without your guidance. You were the first person to find me when I landed here half drowned on the deck, and you made sure I survived all of that.

I'm glad you're not leaving yet; as much as I want all of us to escape this place, I'd still be sad to see you go. Two things can be true at once.

Being your friend is hardly what I'd call hard work, and that's most of what I did. Not that I'd change it for the world, of course.
