What's everyone's favorite color?
Favorite foods would be nice to know, too. You might learn other people like things you hate, or stuff you've never thought of? Favorite flowers as a third thing, I guess, if you have one. A lot of people don't.
My favorite color is rose pink, my favorite food is blueberry pancakes, and my favorite flower is... I don't even have one, actually, I like too many. Plumerias are nice?
[For Valentino (Backdated to the 15th)]
[She doesn't bother messaging Valentino ahead of time. Even holding back as much as she is with her senses, she has an idea of what sort of person he is, and he's not the type where giving him more fields for negotiation will make things go any better.
Her hair is bound back into a thick braid, fennel sprigs peeking out from the dark curls and tuberose flowers tucked behind her ears, and she comes up to him in the hallways not too far outside his cabin shortly after the pairing announcement goes up.]
Hi. Valentino, right? I'm Adamantea, so you're temporarily under my responsibility until pairings switch next month. We should talk.
[She says it all very peaceably, considering she's maybe half his height and has to actively crane her neck back to make eye contact, but there's something very sharp in that diamond-eyed gaze.]

Re: [Private]
[Well, she was considering cornering him the next time he came into the offices, but this works too.]
Want to talk about something?
Re: [Private]
Re: [Private]
The rest of it is... weirder and hard to explain.
Re: [Private]
For fuck sakes...
Sure. Try to explain it.
Re: [Private]
Okay, uh. So. I'm a god? I have... a lot of control over the part of reality that makes up minds, dreams, feelings, all that stuff. My main area is emotions and feelings, but... whatever you think 'knowing the hearts and minds' means, it means that, and also other things too. I know people, it's kind of my thing.
Re: [Private]
[he scoffs, irritated]
Right, well. Thanks.
Re: [Private]
...for the record? When you do what you're going to do, I won't stop you.
Re: [Private]
Okay. Because I'm going to take a piss and then go get a drink.
Re: [Private]
Okay. Nice talking with you?

My favorite color is orange. My favorite food is black coffee. I also don’t think I have a favorite flower—I should probably pick one! I know they’re technically a weed but can dandelions count?
Re: voice
[Truly, she sometimes feels like the patron god of Staying In Her Fucking Lane. She still listens in to try and pick out anything identifying in the noise.]
D'you like your coffee hot or cold?
Re: voice
Hot, easily. I used to live in New York. We’ve got hot coffee weather more often than cold coffee weather. Besides, hot coffee wakes you up quicker! At least, it does for me.

Right, flowers! I grew up with the striped Barbados Lily all over the place where I am from; it's beautiful. Roses are always nice, but don't like the tropical climates so much. Plumerias ARE wonderful, you're right!
Re: [Text]
Having a bunch of favorite colors is pretty common, even if there's one you like a little better than the rest and don't actively know it.
And roses are pretty picky, yup. There's a lot of flowers that don't like warm, hot places very much, which is a shame! Most of them are so pretty. The same goes for flowers that don't like the cold, anyway, so no place is perfect.
Re: [Text]
That is one good thing about the Greenhouse here; I'm able to see flowers that I could have never seen back home, and only seen in books. I grew up on a tropical island, and live on a ship in a tropical place these days. Not a lot of flowers meant for cooler weather there.

I tend to like soup, but the warmth matters more to me than the flavor. [They like the way it feels.]
I never thought about flowers, but I usually wear black.
Re: Audio
Black's not a super common color for natural flowers. But there's a few out there!

I never really thought about texture, but I never ate consistently before I came to the Barge. [They rarely had a body to feed.]
I think my favorite color would be black or blue. [Those are the colors they seem to wear the most.]
What do you like about plumerias?

Flowers have never been interesting to them, but they like the idea of being aware of their experiences the way Adamantea described it. That does sound nice. I never thought about it like that before.

Well, isn't that cute~
[ His eyes, large, almost glowing magenta and seemingly pupilless, drag over her braid, the flowers, the sprigs, he thinks to himself that she looks like she'd just had the time of her life in a hedge somewhere... But it's her posture that has him raising an eyebrow. The way she seems to be trying very hard not to look threatening while absolutely being adorably threatening. Val smirks, taking a long drag of his cigarette, blowing the pink smoke from it to the side of her head, watching as it forms a little heart before fading away. ]
Y'know, usually when somebody volunteers to babysit me, they at least buy me dinner first.
[ The smile never leaves, but it narrows a little when he catches that stare. Predatory recognising predatory. He pushes off the wall lazily, towering over her now on purpose. ]
But sure, princesa~ we can talk. Long as this ain't gonna be one of those boring little lectures about cooperation and boundaries. I get enough of those already.
[ A soft chuckle escapes him as he dips his head just enough to make the gesture feel mocking instead of respectful. ]
So. What exactly are you planning to do with me for a month?
