There's been talk of abilities... lost, or gained, or wanted, lately -- so I thought I'd pose another related question for anyone who can't resist a moment to speak about themself. Yours truly included.
So. What's something you're good at? Something unusual, something you could brag about, or just something terribly strange? Irregardless of if you can do it at present time, of course, don't be shy. Horrors are a bonus.
[It's been a month and a half! Maybe they're capable of having a normal conversation now without... spiralling over irrelevant, not-even-harmful, information. Maybe. Hopefully.]

[Ashton can be found in the lounge at nights, doing his job, usually in another face; always humanoid, always roughly the same height and very roughly the same build, but nearly everything else can change. Sometimes she's in the library, usually as herself, engrossed in scientific or historical texts; if there's not a person there, look up and you might spot a cat on top of the shelves, watching keen-eyed. Sometimes they're tucked into a corner in the greenhouse. Every now and again he looks at the wardrobe, but he never stays long.
Between 7 PM and 7 AM, you're liable to see a small cream-and-white cat or a large black wolf just about anywhere in the ship an inmate might be, especially in the common rooms.
She's still always trailed by a small golden figure, no matter her shape, though she barely pays it any heed at all.]

If you have a moment, I'd be interested in hearing more about your people.[It's been a month and a half! Maybe they're capable of having a normal conversation now without... spiralling over irrelevant, not-even-harmful, information. Maybe. Hopefully.]

Open to company? Thought you might be interested in what fleshcraft looks like when I'm not using it to change form so fully.private to Aerith
You look terrible. If you'd like to bitch about anything... complaining rarely fixes anything, but it surely won't hurt.SPAM

Re: private
I've got a few free hours. What's your cabin number again?
Re: private
16 on Level 3.
Re: private
[It's possible they were already in one of the Level 3 common rooms because they've been ambiently paying attention to him and Istradez's movement patterns every now and again. Of course, that's just a possibility, but they are knocking on his cabin door the slightest bit too quickly for them to have been particularly far.]

I can visualize things well, so drawing comes easily to me. I also have a photographic memory. [They have to be good at visualization in order to shapeshift successfully.]

It makes shapeshifting easier. It could be something innate to my species, but I have no idea. [They only know one other Passenger.]

But- I appreciate you asking. I'm- kind of tired but I'm having trouble sleeping. So...I might have to step up my skincare.
Re: Private
Skincare is technically my specialty? [He snickers.] Only in the most invasive of ways, admittedly.
Re: Private
So...are you complaining that I'm not complaining enough?

library spam
Besides, meeting people seems to be an expected aspect of making his way to graduation, and after nearly three whole weeks, he's really struggling. He thought it'd be over with by now.
People don't like to be interrupted while they're reading. Mahito, in fact, doesn't like to be interrupted reading! He therefore waits for a book to be put down while he's bustling around shelving. "Done with that one? I'll put it back."
Re: library spam
"No," Ashton says, completely reflexively, because their natural impulse is to be contrary just for the hell of it, "still in the middle of it, actually." This would only be true if 'in the middle of the references section' was something literally anyone, ever, has considered to be 'in the middle of a book'. Which it's not.

wardrobe
As his cabin's just a little way away, he doesn't see a reason to change when he suddenly decides that he should probably do his laundry. Going through the wardrobe to find appropriately billowy silk shirts fills the time since he'd feel bad smoking.]
Looking for something?
Re: wardrobe
[Ashton, who no longer owns pajamas because he exclusively sleeps in his clothes (and sometimes in slightly different clothes) (and sometimes as an animal, which don't wear clothes in the first place), can't throw stones when it comes to fashion on that front. This doesn't stop him from thinking Fitz looks a bit foolish, but so it goes sometimes.]
Re: wardrobe
He nods, before squinting a moment.] Are you from somewhere in the '90s? Or the... twenty-tens, I guess. It gets tricky when you flip to a new century.

Incidentally, Hjerte bottles the blood from my transformation spells, if you'd like some of it.
[Surprise, this is how your new sisterish figure actually changes forms.]
Re: Private | Video
[Skipping right past that first part and going straight to the important part. They are so tired of Admiral-provided blood.]
You hadn't offered before, so -- did something change?
Re: Private | Video
I've been giving it to Eric since before I even met you. But I'd like to offer you some too.
Are you thirsty now? Because I did transform today.

Spam, library
(Spoiler, he definitely is, though he's hanging back a little to see if they immediately swat his proxy or not.)
Re: Spam, library
Mmh. They don't feel negatively about the idea of that interaction, and being a person (which they're not, really, but that's not the point) in another shape is... fine. They're not opposed to it.
In the end they swat at the spider with one paw, very lightly, pushing it away but not actually harming it. Or attempting to do so as best they can. Insects are fragile!
Re: Spam, library
Chase steps up where it landed and looks up. "Was that a 'go away' or a 'you can come hang out'?" he asks. "Cat gesture language is hard to interpret."
