Birthday Attempt

[She comes on video, dressed in an iridescent gown that seems to shift colors from moment to moment. She's surrounded by potted plants (no roses, of course) and her hair is streaked in deep blues that add dimension to her face. A delicate necklace adorns her throat.]

Today is my birthday.

I will accept cards, gifts, and well wishers in my cabin from the hours of nine in the morning to three in the afternoon.
