[ Kepler has always been, for good or ill, one of the inmates who considered his death a big bright blinking sign that Something Needs to Change. He’s been an active and thoughtful part of his own process, because that’s part of who he is; his problems had less to do with impulse and more to do with control. And he’s always been aware of them; Goddard Futuristics didn’t skimp on the psych evals, even he’s always taken the information with a sizable grain of salt, given the company’s motivations.
So while this might seem a little out of left field, it… isn’t. Not even close. It’s the result of a lot of soul searching and thought and yes, some of the recent events. ]
What is it. That makes you angry?
[ A short pause. ]
Not… huffy. Not… grumpy. Not even snippy. I mean… angry. I mean… stupid decisions angry. Lifelong goals angry. Fuck the high road pissed. Off.
And.
How do you handle it? And… preference for answers that… aren’t specific to this place. For obvious reasons, I would think.

[ If you’re looking for Kepler, he’s pretty easy to find. There’s the lounge, always. The deck is pretty frequent too. He’s spending more time in his cabin lately, for reasons that are no one’s business but his and Jacobi’s *cough* but he’s also at the library a little more, often with a notebook by his side and an intense expression on his face. Suffice to say that things are starting to settle down a little into something workable and normal for him, for all that he’s going to be the first to say that that’s just the setting for a shoe to drop soon enough. ]

Betrayal, greed, and needless cruelty.

And for treating those who forced our hands accordingly, here we find ourselves imprisoned.
[Fou-Lu, flattening a city is not a proportionate response.]

But. Funny enough? I agree with you. Entirely.
Precision. That’s the ticket. No. Wasting. Resources. And that includes people.

Being treated like you've been invited to the party and you should be grateful, when what you're actually doing is cleaning up everybody's mess.
[Yes, this is a metaphor, Cass hates parties.]

I get the feeling? You and I. We’ll see eye to eye on a few things.
But that? Absolute. Garbage. Extremely extremely frustrating.
Happen to you often?

Until I left the party altogether. You?

I’ll say… that one? I hate that one.

Oh man, I love being talked about. But if I'm the one doing the bitching, I get the wasp treatment.
How's that fair?
Anyway, to answer your question, since we're being so introspective today - people lying when they're supposed to protect the people I care about.
How's that? That help?
And I'm not answering the second question because you know the answer.

I wasn’t talking about you. This post? Actually? Has nothing to do with you.
Or it didn’t. And even now? It’s still… not. Quite to that level. Not enough to be stupid.
I’m trying to do. What I need to do. To do what I told you I was doing. If you want to have a tantrum about it?
Go right ahead.

Then when I got to be an adult I just don't get angry much. I yell when I do. I killed some people. Bad decisions still, just not as often.

Tend to get… quiet. When I’m genuinely angry. When I’m genuinely… anything, really. Words… always seem like they aren’t enough. For something like that.

[He exaggerates it sometimes for effect. But it's very rare he actually gets anywhere near the kind of anger Warren is talking about.]
But when something gets to me and it's beyond my ability to channel, I find someone to talk to these days.
[Most recently, Warren himself!]

[ The amount of vulnerability it asks for is a lot from him. Not to mention leaning on others. Asking anything of anyone. It’s not a simple thing for him. Iris had drilled it in basically by not going away and refusing to leave him alone when he wasn’t all right. ]
The talking. Not… a rarity in anger. That kind of anger is… complicated for me. This whole post was about trying to figure it out. I’ve gotten some. Useful information, I think.

And I’ve never been one for violence. Not when there’s a million other things to do.
No judgment. I just… have my preference. Though some people would be surprised on it.
