Edward Deegan's cabin is gone.
If you have questions, take them up with the Admiral. I don't have any answers.
[He just knows someone usually puts the word out, and apparently it's his turn.]
[Private - Ezio, Rita, Norton, Godric, William, and any other Entirely Well-Meaning CR]
No, I'm not okay. He was a friend.
No, I don't want to talk about it any more than that.
[Spam - OTA]
[So now there's one more person stalking around in a terrible fucking mood, even though the port itself hadn't been that bad. As ever, Larry generally sticks with his routine, which mostly (but not entirely) gives him the room to be surly and solitary as needed: in the kitchen in the morning, the greenhouse in the afternoon, the deck in the early evening; after hours or between shifts he can often be found in the library, or watching a movie in a common room, or in the Enclosure if he can get a free slot.
The first night after Edward's disappearance, though, he picks up a habit he hasn't bothered with in months: he drops by the Lounge, sits at the bar, and orders a beer he can't and won't try to drink.]

Damn. I liked him.
Voice
Yeah. I think most people did.
[He sounds vaguely regretful. Of all the people the Admiral could kick out, or whatever...]
Private

You don't have to speak about it.
That port
If you want a night in with no talking, I could use one.

No details needed, just the headline. If you can.

[But he won't make Larry talk about feelings. Sometimes just pretending feelings aren't there and hoping they'll go away is the best course, in Norton's opinion, so he'll let Larry have that option and not say anything more.
But he's surprised to see Larry in the lounge when he walks in later that night. And he's not sure whether Larry is being slightly social, or if this is Larry being aggressively unsocial by being unsocial publicly where he can be seen being unsocial. The only way to know is to talk to him, so Norton takes a seat at the bar.]
Hello. I'd offer to buy you a drink but you've already got one. And also they're free.

[Dry as a bone, and just as bleak.]

[Norton rarely has beer, but Larry sitting in front of an untouched glass is terribly gloomy.]
By the way, I've gathered a bit of information about secret rooms on the ship.

The good mood is also partially why she acknowledges Larry's presence almost as soon as she sees him.
"Mr. Trainor."
Deck
This evening was one of the former, but the Spirit has already gone and returned, and Larry was close to heading downstairs for the night when he hears his name. "Quill. You look like you're in a good mood." That might not be a good thing, he thinks.
