Look everyone! I'm a parent to be! I didn't even know I was with egg.

[ Turns it over, say something sweetly to it like it's half a quiet conversation nobody else is part of. ]

...No. No, I don't think so. We are not typically an egg-laying species. Were not. But when the ship jiggles anything is possible, right?

If this has never happened before, it likely isn't you. If you're that old, chances are you aren't only now entering reproductive maturity.
