10 and Rose bw

I just had an evil plot bunny of drastic proportions.

Why it came from reading a fluff fic, I'll never know.

Maybe it had to do with unexpected complications.....? But there was something I read once where Time Lords/Gallifreyans of ages past could 'absorb', or do something similar, the best qualities of each species they encountered. So I wondered... assuming the Doctor came from one of those 'old' families, the potential to having that ability was still in his genes, just switched off. But what if he and Rose had a child, and that baby had that gene active, and killed Rose (!!!!!!!) slowly over a long period of time, only she and the Doctor didn't really know where it was coming from until it was too late? And then that baby, half-human and half-gallifreyan, didn't know how to control those abilities, and combined with the Vortex that he had absorbed from Rose (and in a way the TARDIS), aged too fast, and went somewhat insane, tripped through Time and Space, and became the Valeyard, leaving the Doctor with the knowledge of what he had created, with Rose so far near death there wasn't a guarantee she would recover?

.......Like I said, evil plot bunny. DO NOT EXPECT ME TO WRITE THIS THOUGH.

Once more, my computer has gotten a virus and crashed.

I didn't do anything differently than I normally did. Rather, I was scrolling through my dash on Tumblr and my computer abruptly restarted, spamming my screen with error messages before repeating the cycle over and over again. I shut off the computer because I couldn't do anything beyond that.

Needless to say, I won't be on much after this. And since I have a crazy amount of money to pay with not enough money in my bank account to do so, I can't get my computer fixed right now either. Once Fall semester starts I'll see if I can find a computer in the library, but until then, I won't be participating on here much.

The universe has it out for me.

ETA: Found out what caused it. Someone had reblogged a link that had a virus attached. Don't know what virus it is or if I can get rid of it, but if you se a post on tumblr (or anywhere really) bringing you to an 800 page prequel to the Harry Potter books don't click it.

Oh dear.....

So I have a test tomorrow, right? And I know maybe.... half of what I am supposed to.

Anyway, I got back to my room around 2 this afternoon, after taking a quick detour to Subway and eating in the Student Union (and I still managed to beat the bus back, take THAT public transit system!!!). I hopped on my email to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything, then decided to go on Tumblr for a few minutes to snag some quick gifs before I studied.

Remember, this was at 2. It is now almost 9.

SEVEN HOURS. SEVEN HOURS OF GETTING GIFS AND STARING AT ALL THE PRETTIES.

And people ask why I refuse to get one. If I did, I'd never get off, fail all my classes, and become a hobo on the street, simply because tumblr is so addicting.

#I'm gonna fail tomorrow

ETA: I GOT AN 87 GUYS!!!! Heck yeah.

Now THAT was an experience.

I have been in hospitals lots of times. My big brother had appendicitis just last year, and my half brother got in a severe motorcycle accident three years ago. My mother had surgery when I was ten, and my sisters had her tonsils removed when I was seven. This is the first time that I've been a patient at one that I remember, though (I was four last time, so all I have are vague images and feelings).

:(

Where has my Rory muse gone? He was thriving last night, and then, sometime between going to bed and getting home after work, he vanished with Amy!muse. I would be suspicious, but Amy!muse is still leaving little notes here and there. Rory!muse is MIA.

At least Eleven!muse is with me. I think he's happy that he's finally getting the spotlight, for once, instead of Ten!muse. Writing him was laughably easy. Maybe he knows where Rory!muse has vanished to...?

Does anybody else have their Rory!muse with them? I need a beta for this story, and I'd really appreciate the help :)

Update

So... I have decided to switch all personal entries to another journal. It's friend-locked, so not just anyone can wander by, but I want this to be more of a fic-and-fandom journal than a mix of both.

If you're interested, it's dryadalis. It's a daily-diary kind of thing, so I will post something every day.

In other news, my muse seems to have slinked back in for a bit, if giving me a little over 1000 words is anything to go by. Don't know if she'll be around tomorrow, but I need my sleep.

I've also been bit by yet another plot bunny, but I can't sit down and write it. It's frustrating. School is almost over, and I'll have approximately two weeks to myself, but then I have summer workshops, classes, and two jobs to worry about (assuming I get the other one), so I don't know if I'll even get around to it. DADT is on hold as well until I get everything settled. It WILL be posted on here eventually, even if I have to beat my muse to get it done. She'll get over it eventually.
TARDIS FTW

(Back) From Florida, With Love

Spring Break... such a wonderful feeling. I get to laze about the house doing nothing, ignore the stress of the spring semester and my worrying Chemistry grade, walk the dog, and remind my cat that yes, I still do exist, and no, leaving all week does not mean that you can wake me up at four-thirty in the morning like you always do over the summer.

But first, vacation.

TARDIS take me away

Sometimes, too much is too much

I applaud people who's imagination is fertile enough to post 100+ stories, I really do. Add to the fact that they can write for several simultaneously and still keep a steady update schedule, well, they're my heroes. But when someone starts sacrificing quality for quantity, well, that's when I get annoyed.

I was browsing through an archive the other day and noticed one of the authors I used to read diligently had posted a host of new stories, and was alarmed that they had uploaded five in one day. Their profile also indicated this was a normal occurrence, and the stories themselves, while decent, just didn't have the same impact that they used to have on me. I was rather disappointed because they used to write wonderful stories, but once they started writing for more than one at a time, they couldn't handle it and sacrificed the fic quality in an effort for more. I was really tempted to send them a message advising them to just cut back, but it seemed rude so I refrained.

I will admit to making the mistake of uploading several chapters in a day with very little thought of editing when I first started writing, and its a mistake that I still cringe about to this day, but someone who has been writing for as long as they have should *know* that is a stupid mistake. They even whined in an authors note that they don't have enough time to edit. I was even more tempted to send that message right then and there.

Why, oh why do people sacrifice the quality so much these days? I haven't found a good story on FF.net- in any fandom of mine- for a while now.
