Neglected Update
Forgive my delay. I've been meaning to write an update but life decided to sneak up on me, and no one wants that.

Big news!
You wouldn't believe my surprise when I walked into work yesterday and saw one of my co-workers unloading a particular book.
Apparently Mr Carman has been sneaky! He wrote a fourth book in the Elyon series when we weren't even looking.
It is stated to be a prequel to Alexa's books, about Thomas Warvold and his brother, before the walls went up.
I really hope it's better than the Tenth City. I was sorely disappointed with how he ended Alexa's story. Can't wait to read it, and once I do, you'll all know!

The trilogy concludes
Yep. The Tenth City came out back in June, and I grabbed it the moment I saw it.
For the most part, it was well done. Everything gets explained in the end, and it seemed to be a really solid conclusion, even with a little open ending.
I, however, was a little bit disappointed with it, to be honest. I was expecting something more upbeat and...well...more in lieu of the other two. But to me, despite all of the loose ends being tied up, it seemed rushed and hurried.
What do you guys think?

Introduction
I've been a member for a while, but I've put off introducing myself until now.
Of course, I love The Land of Elyon, which deserves more attention than it gets. My favorite characters are Alexa and Murphy. I relate to Alexa's curiousity and boredom with her everyday life, while I like Murphy because of his loyalty to Alexa and simply because he's adorable. ^_^
Anyways, I'm not quite sure what to say, so I suppose that's all.

Another update
Sadly, I haven't been able to get any information about The Tenth City yet. Both the books haven't been quite as big a success as I'm sure Scholastic had hoped, but at the same time, it would be nice to at least know when it would be coming out.
In saying that, once I get any info I will be sure to post it. It's one of the few atvantages one has from being a bookseller =P.
In other news, the official site has changed its format again, from a plain background to one with dark trees. I think it looks much better that way. Still love how Yipes is a permanent feature on the main page, as well. I think he's earned it.
With the newest update on the site, they have also included a "Land of Elyon Book III coming soon!" little decal. It's safe to say that it's the Tenth City, but of course, it doesn't say the title and of course it doesn't give any information about its publication date.
In something a little of topic, it does look as if Patrick Carman has another book in store for next year, called Atherton. However, Chapters.ca gives no summary and it's published by a different company, so I'm not even sure if it's the same author.
Well, that's all I have for now. I'll update when I have other things to report!
