Brendon Urie's very orange underwear less than two feet from my face

Yeah, so, I went so The Cab's free concert at the Guitar Center opening tonight, which happened to include a Panic signing before it. That had only been announced on The Cab's Myspace, apparently.

The Cab's Myspace said that they were playing at 6:30, so I showed up at about 6:15. That was a total lie, they went on the stage around 9:00, but hey, it meant that I got into the Panic signing line fairly close to the front.

It was interesting - I'm not sure how much the fact that Panic was going to be there got around in Panic circles. There were people as I was standing in line fretting about how they really wanted to meet Panic, but they did not want to miss The Cab. It was kind of fantastic, actually.

By the time that the line started actually moving, there were maybe 40 people behind me - and roughly about the same in front of me. I, uh, didn't actually bring anything for them to sign (I had a tiny notebook in my purse), so I just grabbed one of the 8x10s. And I think I told Ryan I liked his hat. Jon's hair looked like he had literally just rolled out of bed (seriously, it was sticking up on one side, and I didn't manage to get a picture of it, which is just sad). And Brendon seems to be copying Pete on the hair front, which, Brendon, honey. No.

This is, uh. Okay, apparently I had accidentally set my camera to camcorder, and I was trying to take a picture and getting very, very confused. This is also why I don't have many decent pictures of the signing and the Panic boys. But, um. Have a really short video of Ryan Ross singing some person's stuff?

Yes, his fedora had what looked like a fly fishing tie on the side. I don't even know.

I... actually meant to take a picture of Spencer here, but I got jossled, so it's another one of Ryan instead. It's a very nice one of Ryan! (...I really did like the hat.) But it means I have no decent shots of Spencer, which makes me kind of ridiculously sad, as I am all about Spencer.

Jon shaved!

The rest of the signing pictures are kind of shitty, as they were me attempting to take pictures over the heads of teenies, which oddly doesn't work very well.

Jon may have given Spencer his extra facial hair, though.

...Because I always wanted to see Brendon's pit stains.

After the signing, I ran stuff out to my car and came to the tent for the concert. First up was a band called, um. This Calendar Year? Don't quote me on that. They were fine, and they had a kind of absolutely mesmerizing bassist and a tornado of a guitarist, but their frontman was kind of eh (and looked disturbingly like Ralph Fiennes in Strange Days). They were enjoyable live, but I don't think I'll look for any of their music.

Then, since this was a concert tied to the grand opening of a Guitar Center, there was a lot of free shit thrown into the audience. They were even throwing stereos which... didn't seem particularly safe. Brendon came out at one point and handed an amp to some girl.

Then The Cab came on. They were kind of awesome, guys, no lie. They had a lot of stage presence, though Cash looked... I don't know, confused? Pissed off about something? Something. But Alex D was a fantastic frontman (and kept singing directly over my head, as there was of course no barrier and I was one back from the stage). Ian's hair is, um, amazingly impressive. Also, I can tell you right now that, judging by the teenies there tonight, they are probably going to end up with some crazy-ass fans in a few years. And if their fandom ever gets off the gound, Alex D will be slashed with everyone. Except possibly the drummer (Alex J?), as I'm not sure Alex D ever actually went over there.

I apologize in advance for the speckled nature of all the rest of the pictures - I swear it wasn't my camera, there just must've been a huge amount of dust in the air. Which, given an outdoor concert in a tent set up in a parking lot in Vegas, isn't exactly surprising.

Alex M on piano. I think. I'm not entirely positive which of the other two Alexes is which.

Alex D.

Shitty picture all around, really.

Brendon came out to sing I'll Run with them. Which was, um. \o/

This girl's arm shows up a lot. Stupid arm.

Yeah, this picture? Not zoomed in. And then minute I took the camera down, he did the crotch grab and showed us all his bright orange underwear. Damnit.

You can see a little bit of the orange underwear in this one? And, uh, also an "insert cock here" mouth, damn you girl's arm for making this picture dark.

And that's the end of the Panic stuff. But I have more pictures of The Cab! Stay for Ian's ridiculously big hair!

I took a bunch of pictures of Ian, mainly because, well, he was in front of me. And he had giant hair and a bright pink tie, both of which are things I can definitely appreciate in a person.

At some point in here, though I don't remember when, they stopped to hand out more free stuff. Cash was trying to give a DVD player to the girl standing behind me, and it landed on top of my head. Which, okay, ow.

Cash was immediately all "are you okay?" and concerned, and then gave me a high five when I said I was fine. And Alex D came over and asked me too, twice. And then also gave me a high five. Which was kind of awesome. Even though, um. Ow.

Yes, Alex D had on clandestine jeans. Cash, though I don't have a good picture of it, had on the "the world is my oyster" shirt. Oh, boys. We know Pete signed you, it's okay.

Seriously, I think his hair might be bigger than Ray Toro's.

Note the bartskull on Alex D's ass. Yeah.

His hair. And his Pepto-Bismal pink tie. I kind of like him just for that, I won't lie.

So, that was my evening.

How was yours?
