My local theater is showing Adolescence of Utena this weekend after all! They were not on the list the last time I checked, so I am happy I could still snag a ticket. It's been sooooo long since I watched this movie, but it's exciting to get to see it on the big screen!

I started working on something for the "lost in the woods" challenge at fandomweekly... but it's taken on a life of its own and now it's way too long to submit for the challenge and I'm still not done. It's a very silly and overwrought, overdramatic idea (and of course it's Miroku/Sango), but I think I'll write out what I can and post it, if only to get it out of my brain. Mostly I want to post it because it feels like the start of a longer story that I'm not going to write. And if someone else wants to run with the general idea... I hope they do because I would absolutely read it.

You know, as much as I hate rewriting drafted chapters to account for changes I made while editing earlier chapters... I have to admit the rewritten versions are much better. Figures.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before I wrote something for this fandom, given how much I enjoyed Fire and Ash and the Frontiers of Pandora game... Varang is so messed up, I absolutely love her. This takes place long before Fire and Ash, when Varang is not yet the leader of the Mangkwan, and is surprisingly not that dark. But Varang will get there one day.

I'm glad the solstice is soon... I'm so sick of it being dark all the time and am looking forward to the days getting longer again.

Yesterday my rabbit decided to stop eating for reasons known only to him. He was interested in food but not willing to eat it, only to go right back to normal almost 8 hours later. At least it was pretty clearly an issue with his mouth apparently hurting, and not GI stasis, since there were no appointments available at the vet. It still made me a bundle of nerves for most of yesterday. Today he's perfectly fine. Like nothing happened, because of course.

As far as writing goes, I wrote some stuff for ficinabox that will reveal soon, and I finished my story for yuletide and posted it. I'll probably go back over the Yuletide story for edits this weekend. It kind of got away from me, so I haven't had a chance to work on the next chapter for Consigned to Oblivion yet this month, and I don't know if I will. I'm kind of running out of steam for that story. It's weird, because I spent years building the story up to the parts that are finally being posted now, and all I feel is disappointed in how those chapters turned out. At this point I'm just hoping that I'll come back around to liking it if I see it through to the end.

Anyway, here are some other random things I'm up to:
- Going to regular dance and fitness classes again, which is nice after spending most of the year injured and hurting
- Completing all the base game achievements for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora before digging into the add-ons
- One episode to go on May I Ask for One Final Thing? and really hoping it doesn't ruin things for me
- Waiting desperately for Wilderness of Mirrors to be released even though that's still months away
