Open roleplay for characters from shoujo manga and anime from before 1990!
 | Salutations and welcome to the one and only dressing room for classic shoujo characters. As with any dressing room,  laconblade is a low-fuss place to roleplay without having to worry about apps, activity requirements, or limits.→ which characters are allowed? Any characters from anime and/or manga that were originally created before 1990 and targeted toward women. If you're playing from an anime adaptation that was made after 1990, that's fine, as long as the original work began publication earlier. Characters from series made for male audiences and more recent series are acceptable if the original creator is primarily known for classic shoujo, due to significant overlap in terms of both the style and fandom of these works. → what do I post? Frankly, anything is allowed. Unlike some dressing rooms, there is no predetermined setting and currently no overarching plots (although players are free to carry on plots across threads if they so choose). Simply join the community with your character(s) and post away! Prose and comment spam are both acceptable formats, as are in person and written/typed/journal interaction. Whatever suits you best! Any character is welcome to comment on any other character's posts, regardless of canon, unless there is an OOC note stating otherwise. Posts that are marked as "locked" to certain players are just fine, but don't overdo it; if you're constantly threading with another mun in locked posts, we'd recommend getting a musebox so we don't clog a comm that's meant to be open to everyone with things that most people can't respond to. Please don't make entirely OOC posts! → tags? [canon name] character name Check this page to see what tags we have so far, and expect your character to be added within a few days if they're not on the list. Currently, tags can only be created by the maintainers but existing tags can be added to posts by all members. → any rules? Just a few of the standard RP rules. No godmoding, be nice to people, and do your best to stay IC. If you have issues with another player, no need to start wank, just contact one of the mods as listed below. Use your common sense and don't be an idiot and we'll all be fine, 'kay? Potentially offensive content is allowed, but please keep all material over a PG-13 material behind an LJ cut and add a warning outside of the cut. We do not check members ages to prove their suitability to view such material, but if you're underage and dealing with pornographic material, don't advertise it or you may be banned.
