But cruel are the times, when we are traitors and do not know ourselves. --Macbeth, Act IV Scene ii
I like this place and willingly could waste my time in it. --As You Like It, Act II Scene iv
Doubt that the sun doth move, doubt truth to be a liar, but never doubt I love. --Hamlet, Act II Scene ii
I am only using this LJ to post fic recs from now on. Feel free to friend me, but please understand that I will not friend back. LJ is merely an archive place for my favorite stories now.
Next set of recs, all one-shots/short stories. I'm also eagerly awaiting the revealing at dgficexchange because I found a lot of great stories there, too. tudorrose1533...I think I know which one is yours.
Like a said a couple weeks ago, this LJ is no longer for anything personal. I will, like I said, come back to give recs, skip through the first page of my flist to leave comments, and leave a post here and there (most likely about Harry Potter or something extremely wonderful that happened and doesn't need a lot of explaining). I'm really sorry, flist. But I will drop in on occasion!
DH coming out soon!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! *crazy dance party* I'm locking myself in my room and not coming out until I'm done reading!
I think I might not be using LJ as my online journal any longer.
I used it during the time when I felt like I was floating on clouds, including my high points with Nick. I used it to talk to my FAP friends. And I used it to grieve when Nick and I were through.
But I haven't returned to FAP in the longest time. And LJ is starting to feel more like a chore than anything else.
However, I'd feel horrible leaving you guys completely. I will come back once in while to post recs - LJ is where I archive all my favorites. But I don't think I'll post about my RL, or post often, anymore. There's far too much going on in my life right now to take the time to sit down and explain it to you.
So this is my partial good-bye. I'll come back to post recs, but other than that, I'm gone.
I love you all. Thank you for being there for me when I needed it. I've enjoyed meeting you, albeit online, and I've enjoyed reading your entries. Keep doing what you love, and don't let others bring you down.
HELLO!!! Does anyone remember me? It's been forever, I know...I had AP exams, then finals, and then I got my wisdom teeth pulled. It's been one hectic month but I made it out alive. I'm ready for senior year!
Check out my new layout: labrindille. I'll also update my profile.
As promised, here are MANY fic recs for you! All D/G.
Let's just say that when I'm back from my month-long hiatus, you will have more than enough fics to rummage through and enjoy. My favorites list is getting a little too full. I will update my rec lists as always, too. They need a re-vamp, as well...fics by author or by genre, not sure which I'll do just yet.
Anyway, just came to pop by and say I SURVIVED THE AP EXAMS (though my brain is fried), and HEY, FICS ARE COMING YOUR WAY! ♥
MONDAY: Hey, since it's finally spring, let's make people sweat like crazy! Let's make it 80 degrees outside with very little breeze! *sweating ensues*
TUESDAY: Hey, because spring itself is an ADD season, let's make it thunderstorm like crazy! Downpours, thunder, lightning, the whole deal! *kaBOOM!*
WEDNESDAY: HA! TRICKED YOU! It's not spring, it's still winter! PUT THOSE SHORTS AWAY! It's gonna be 30 degrees outside with a chance of flurries! *shivering crisis across the state*
As promised, here are some more fics for you to read. And to my D/Hr shippers, I actually have one for you! But a few of you may have already read it...it's by streetscribbles (hun, it was absolutely fantastic! PS: are we going to see a new chapter to QR soon? I miss it).
In other news: my birthday's on Sunday! I'm vowed this week will be a good week. So far it has. There have been a few times when I wanted to cry in chemistry because my teacher called me stupid (then I reminded myself that I'm like the class ambassador and I ask all the questions for them because they're afraid of her, so technically ALL OF US are stupid). However, I've survived this week so far. These next three days will be even better, I know they will :)
We're singing "Masquerade" from Phantom of the Opera in IYC!!! Oh, it's so much fun!
