Rules
1. During the prompting period, leave prompts on this post (using the below template). Prompts will be anonymous until fics are up, at which point the prompter can reveal themself if they so wish. Leave as many prompts as you like; there is no such thing as too many cakes.
2. After prompts close, feel free to (anonymously) claim prompts by replying to the comment. Claiming is optional but could help other people pick what to write. Claims are not binding but the mod (me) will gently chide you to work on fills upon request.
3. Finally, posting week! This is when things are de-anonned if authors wish. Post fics directly in a reply to the prompt, or post on ao3 and reply with a link. Authors have a week to post fics, after which the fest will end and we will all go back to our boring, mundane lives.

FAQ

What is this?
A semi-anon commentfic fest where we will get nasty with crossgen incest. Working title: unclefuck slime bucket.

Are there any wordcount requirements?
Nope! Anything from the tiniest 200-word comment fic on up to a 600k epic is allowed. Whatever you personally can write during the fest timeline.

Who can participate?
You! If you found this page you are cordially invited to play in the space. The fest was started by a small group of friends and we don't want it going viral - please don't post about it in big public spaces but feel free to invite interested friends if they can be cool.

What fandoms?
Feel free to prompt any fandoms you want!

Do the characters have to be related?
Nope! Anything in the spirit of crossgen incest (characters in 2 different generations) or unclefucking is valid. Sometimes if a character doesn't have any biological uncles storebought is fine u_u

What content is allowed? Can I prompt/post ______?
Any! Yes! If your prompt or fic contains any of the big 4 warnings (rape/noncon, major character death, underage, or graphic violence) please warn for it in the header. Other warnings/content notes can be placed in the body of the comment; use your best judgement on what requires notes.

Can I post multiple fills?
YES.

Can a single prompt be filled more than once?
Also yes!!! more caaaaaaakes

Can I fill my own prompt(s)?
It might be more fun to fill other people's prompts but I don't think any of the unclefuckers here will turn down a fic in the genre.

What if I want my fic to be anonymous forever?
That's fine! If you want to post it on ao3 there are quite a few permanent-anon open collections out there for people who want to do this exact thing. I have not used any but perhaps other participants could rec one. Or if you are writing in mdzs, feel free to copy your desired prompt over into a kinkmeme prompt and then fill it.

Will there be an ao3 collection for fills?
No. I am old and tired and don't care for collections. Fills will be linked here as they are posted for the ease of reading, however.

What can prompts consist of?
Prompts can be as detailed or as abstract as the prompter wishes. Fandom and pairing are optional if you just have an idea you want to see any version of. As this is not an exchange, DNWs are optional - feel free to include them, but authors are not obligated to stick with them.

Hello yuletide author! I am so happy we matched on one of these tiny fandoms and I'm so excited to see what you come up with. Before we dive into the optional details, let me say in big flashing letters up front that I will love anything you write - I am extremely flexible and if you have a story you've been bursting to tell about these characters, please do it!!! I would love to see a story you're super enthusiastic about writing any day, that's way more important than having all the boxes in my prompts ticked.

If you do need some inspiration, feel free to use as much or as little of this as you need - except for the general likes/dnws, this is basically all stuff I pulled out of my ass at the last minute anyway and should not be taken too seriously.

General Likes

• Romance - my favorite stories are about characters getting together or discovering a new way to love each other or a third person getting folded into an established relationship
• Smut - while I do not require porn in every single fic, I do very much enjoy it
• Porn with feelings - the above being said, I would rather read feelings without porn than porn with no feelings. If push came to shove.
• Oblivious characters who don't realize their own feelings for what they are, or don't think the other person could *possibly* ever have feelings for them
• Any kind of forced intimacy trope that allows (an) oblivious character(s) to realize there's more to this than they assumed - fake dating, kissing games, going undercover as a married couple, arranged marriage, trapped & huddling for warmth - it's all so good
• Light angst in the vein of characters being lonely & resigned to staying alone, giving up things for a loved one or a cause, thinking they aren't good enough for their love interest to love back (but they are), etc - IF it is resolved
• Queer characters!!! Like Ye Zhao from Oh My General for example - she's just like "yeah I'm ultra into ladies and don't know if I'm a man or a woman" and has absolutely zero angst or second-guessing about it, that's just everyone else's problem if they don't like it. And then most of everyone else is just like "fuck she's so cool and I have such a crush on her, w0w"
• Queer A/B/O! Love me some alpha/omega where they invert the typical power dynamics, or omega/omega where they're just super wet & hot together & very happy not to have to deal with alphas. Or beta/beta in a world where most people have these super strong, defined relationship roles but they don't??? please
• The inherent eroticism of intimacy a character is not used to - hand holding for a touch-starved character, rock-solid trust given to a character who thinks they're despicable, a gray ace character and their partner trying out sex for the first time - anything that gives the character a moment of wow i didn't know it could be like THIS will be extremely heart melting and sexy for me as a reader.
• Fix-it fic - is there something in canon that didn't go the way you wanted? was there a time characters were sad? do you have an idea for how that could have gone better? i would love to hear about it
• Happy endings - or open endings that are at least hopeful

Do Not Wants

• Rape/noncon, graphic violence, sex with characters under 15 (underage romance is a-ok for me), suicide or suicidal thoughts, character death
• Heavy angst - things in the world of the fic being really grimdark and hopeless, characters going through severe depression, that sort of thing.
• Most AUs, unless noted otherwise in a specific prompt
• Identity headcanons, unless you, the author have that identity. This is such a weird, fine line to tread - I love to bounce around "everyone is trans" hcs with my trans/nb friends, but my soul would crawl right out of my body if I read the same type of thing from a cis author. If you see something of yourself in a character and want to add that to their characterization in a story go for it, but otherwise please skip it in this one.
• Kink scenes without aftercare - if you want them to get kinky that is great, I can't think of any kinks I wouldn't enjoy seeing, but please also show the aftercare!
• Jealousy/suspected infidelity within established relationships - a character getting jealous of their crush's crush and thereby realizing oh hey, they LIKE that other person is great; characters stewing in jealousy and not being adult & talking about things once they get together is a squick.
• Side pairings - if there's another pairing that gets mentioned in passing that's fine, but I'd prefer the focus of the fic to be squarely on the main couple(/triad/moresome?? *tries to think of who they requested*). I mention this especially because I'm requesting rare pairings in a few fandoms that have much more popular main pairings and while I love them too, I don't really want their relationship to be part of the story in a big way.

Oh My General - Ye Zhao, Meiniang, Xuan'er, Liu Xiyin
What I like about the source: how queer Ye Zhao is! As a nonbinary person, I am in love with & also intrigued by her canon gender stuff. I LOVE how much she's like "heck yeah I bang ladies" and all the female characters that are in love with her when they think she's a dude and keep being in love with her after her ~identity is ~revealed. And I ADORE how she joins the household and the other concubines immediately get a huge crush on her when the show could have gone the full horrible infighting route.

Things I do not like so much & would love to see fixed if you so chose: how jealous Zhao Yujin gets, how he doesn't always seem to get all of Ye Zhao's gender stuff (like he doesn't have to telepathically GET it all at once but he could stop expecting her to fit into a traditional ~woman~ role please), the whole thing where Concubine Yang turned evil and then died??? fridging of ladies in general.

What I would like in a fic: I would loooooove a fic where Meiniang and Xuan'er (and optionally Concubine Yang, if you're feeling up for it) conspire to get Ye Zhao to notice them because they both like her SO MUCH. Yujin can be in this if you want, but I'd really love the focus to be on the ladies seducing Ye Zhao and her being just very smitten with these ladies she's entered a marriage with (I know it's not like SHE'S now married to THEM but it's not...NOT like that...) This setup is ripe for mutual pining; both sides assuming the other isn't into people like them/only sees them platonically, etc. I will reiterate my jealousy/infidelity squick - if you set this later on in their marriage once Yujin and Ye Zhao are in love, please make him on board with this!

Alternately, a fix-it for Ye Zhao and her gay cousin, Liu Xiyin! There are so many points where their story could have gone better - back when they were youths and LXY wanted to marry YZ, what if she had confessed and that led to some tender lovemaking and an understanding between them? What if she did marry Yujin, like her uncle or whoever wanted her to, instead of....whatever shenanigans she actually did, and then within their house it was understood that she was YZ's wife and they live happily ever after. Or she makes it out of Western Xia alive & YZ takes her home and lovingly nurses her back to health? Anything where she gets to be a) in a relationship with YZ, b) alive, and c) work out her ~issues in a constructive way is great for me.

Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty - Duo'erla/Qing Ge
I don't have much to say about this one, just! Those precious few scenes when we saw Duo'erla and Qing Ge hanging out and becoming friends in the background? What were they DOING! What were they FEELING! What could have possibly happened if Duo'erla hadn't d*ed in a scene that I refuse to accept as canon! Both of their arcs are RIPE for fix-its and if you can fix literally anything while having them kiss I will be so happy. Also if you want to throw Jin San in there in any capacity that would be very cool bc I love Jin San's whole deal, but no pressure.

You've Got Mail: a Cautionary Tale Wu Xingzi/Guan Shanjin OR Rancui (see note)
What I like about the source: Wu Xingzi's tender emotions, the way he was alone for so long & just buries all his hopes & dreams to protect his fragile heart. The way Guan Shanjin is so into him & cradles him close & calls him his old quail I just - THEY GIVE ME SO MANY FEELINGS. How much WXZ loves looking at dick pics??? The bonkers setup & plot and how depraved and horny they are for each other at literally all times, while simultaneously falling into tender, aching love <3____<3

Things I do not like so much: the approach to consent in this fic is uhhh....AU? it's an AU where consent works completely differently, is the best way I've been able to describe it. I'd be into fic that either takes the same approach (it's like dubcon where consent is basically retroactive - as long as both parties have a good time by the end, it doesn't matter how the sexual contact starts or if one of them says no, and everyone will look back on that encounter with no regrets), OR fic that operates by more standard consent-in-fic rules. What I'm not interested in is fic that takes the canon approach to sexual encounters but pairs it with the feelings of violation or regret it might produce in the real world - that way lies way too much angst for me. I'm also not very interested in the political or military plots, I'm 100% in it for the love story.

What I'd like in a fic: ok so this is the one exception to my no AUs preference; I would L O V E to see a modern take on this where WXZ and GSJ meet on grindr and hook up while falling in love. It could be the exact same beats as the book and I'd be over the moon, or it could be an exploration of how things might go differently for them. What changes if GSJ is single & not actively mooning over his teacher whose name I forget when they first meet? Are things different if WXZ can message him as many times as he wants without having to worry about wasting his life savings? etc etc

Also, as an extremely aside aside - if you WANTED to go well off-path and write the canon-verse Man Yue/Manager Rancui fic where Man Yue just gets a fucking day off and Rancui gets to get together with someone who's on his competence level, I would love to read that. Man Yue was not nominated so I'm just putting this into the universe so it's out there - I ship them and I have not yet managed to write this fic myself, so. :eyeballs emoji:

Recently it's come to my attention that SSBB is not as well-known within my smol corner of migratory slash fandom as I might have thought :O A tiny intro: they're an original slash fic magazine that started out on LJ but (THANKFUCKFULLY) mirrors all their posts on their own site now, and are a reliable source for incredibly creative and feelsful fic. At least one person I know has posted fic there, which is probably how I heard about them, though that knowledge has been lost to time. The official blurb gives the best possible snapshot of their whole deal imo:

Shousetsu Bang*Bang is a webzine for original gay fiction/boy's love oneshot stories, intended as an online, English-language text equivalent of one of those All Yomikiri Bimonthly Summer Special 100 Extra Pages!! manga phonebooks where every story is about the torrid romance of an ordinary schoolboy and his soccer club captain - or a yakuza boss and his faithful lieutenant - or the prince of an exotic desert country and the emerald-eyed winged youth he rescues from the sawtoothed sand monsters of G'or, self-contained in 30 pages and heartwarmingly predictable.

I've been less diligent about bookmarking there than I thought, so I may add to this list as time goes on and I run into ones I read before, but here are some recs!

Another Pair of Hands by Hyakunichisou 13 - A guy who has recently been in an accident & bought a house falls for the owner of a local hardware shop. Very sweet!!

Don't Panic by Domashita Romero - An alien thinks the world is ending & grabs his favorite human before the house burns down :D

The Edge of Morning by Kilerkki - An exiled mage and guard who's sent along with him. This is SO good. It is excellent in worldbuilding and excellent in emotional hurt/comfort and just. so good!!!!! (cw for suicidal thoughts)

Snow night by Hyakunichisou 13 - Very cool contemporary magic-is-real worldbuilding. A cute office romance with surprise SNOWED-IN twist. (I feel fine with this spoiler because it's literally in the title /o/)

Day Job by Domashita Romero - Another office romance but this is one where the new guy is literally a demon and our protagonist is immediately thirsty for him [row of thumbs-up, 100, and flame emojis]

The Absence of You by shukyou - this is the one whose rec on twitter inspired this post \o/ It's a Victorian-ish magical setting with amnesia and a murder investigation and polyamory and FEELS, all of which are immensely complicated by said amnesia. Also there is a Very Good Cat.

Unlocked by Hyakunichisou 13 - There Was Only One Bed, with pining and space takeout and virtual reality banging

Unification by Domashita Romero - THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE it's so tropey and goooood. An arranged marriage where the young prince is pining and his husband is so oblivious he doesn't even realize he fell in love with him. Features the COOLEST fantasy world and a truly scandalous age gap. The fic tumblr doesn't want you to read!!!!

Prompts list

I wasn't specifically aware of it while it was happening, but my drift into exclusively using twitter seem to have taught me a dialect that I took for Generic Internet Language, but actually it is only the twitter dialect; the old journaling dialect which I was once fluent in is now brand new again. Things I keep remembering only after the fact include:

- formatting exists? I don't have to emphasize words in all caps or in /fake italics/ or not at all? this could be an actual bullet-point list if I wanted o___o

- icons mean things again? I keep posting comments without even thinking about the icon dropdown and then looking at the comment and going like, wow, that message + my default dinosaur comics icon really did not come off the way I intended

- you can edit posts? and comments?? rethinking things or changing your mind or coming up with new ideas doesn't have to all happen in one long unbroken stream-of-consciousness series of additional posts?

it's wild out there. I thought I had sufficiently held onto my roots by still typing out oldschool emoticons sometimes, but I guess the fuck not. (and now if I wanted to punctuate this sentiment with the upside-down-smiley-face emoji it deserves, I'm going to have to go to emojipedia in a different tab and copy/paste. WILDT.)
