Hm...

Onemanga's going away....

Well, that's too bad. But I prepared for this, so we're clear.

Besides, it looks like some of the legit companies are heading towards a legal version of these sites (though they might cost money), so I can hardly call this the end of the world. Some people are too dramatic.

Here's A Fun Thought

So, like, Tenzin has to have more babies to make more airbenders, right?

CLEARLY, he's gonna hook up with the firelord's daughter. Everyone is family, stfu about ships.

And don't worry, Zuzu has a son, too, so future firelords will stay firebenders.

Dammit!

The girl who was gonna make Erika's dress for me emailed me saying she couldn't acquire a similar enough design, so she's not making the dress.

So, it's back to plan B)Buy a similar skirt and just wear the turtleneck.

This news came with a lot of disappointments today, so I was practically on the verge of tears at the time. I'm over it now, though.

In other news, I'm collecting a bunch of artwork of America and Lichtenstein from Hetalia. NO! I'm not pairing the two, I'm not collecting pics of them together, I just love both of them. XD

Lichtenstein's collection is small so far, but my America collection is growing. I'm also hoping to nab a plush and one of those chibi figures of him at Otakon. He is just that awesome. XD

Some people may not get the irony, but w/e

Just got this message on FB:

"Wait, so I can't friend you if I don't know you?
What's the point in that?"

Let's ignore the fact he's taking in facebook terms and think about this: Do you have any actual friends you DON'T know? Because, as far as I can remember, a relationship turns into a friendship after it goes through the acquaintance stage.

And really, Idk, dude. Facebook is a system, much like twitter, that encourages posting whatever the hell you're doing/thinking/feeling at a moment's notice. Politicians and actors have suffered major consequences because of stupid shit they've updated their status with. I consider my FB my more personal account site, so I'm not friending every joe-schmo who decides to look me up. Sorry.

Also, I've already gotta keep my chat turned off because of one guy I decided to friend after a couple chat sessions. Not really interested in meeting total strangers. kthnx.

Fic Recommendation!

For Hetalia fans who ship America/England, I recommend checking out a fic titled Second Chance.

Taking place after WWIII, a bunch of nations had been killed during the war, America included. Imagine Canada's surprise when he runs into a strikingly familiar human named Alfred Jones out of the blue.

Basically, the fic uses the concept of nations reincarnated as normal humans. So far, I'm loving it. It also seems to be popular on ff.net, judging by the review numbers. I'm up to chapter 11, and as far as pairings go, America/England is the main one, Romano/Spain is in there, and then some other potential ships mentioned... though I'm not sure if some are brotherly or what. (Well, I know for a fact that two reunited pairs are sibling relationships.)

But anyway, it's decently written, pretty much IC, has humor in it, and deals with the aftermath of a fictional third World War that wiped out a ton of nations. So far, pretty awesome.

I WANT THE COWBOY BEBOP MOVIE SOUNDRACK.

I ALSO WOULD APPRECIATE THE SHOW'S OP AND ED, BUT I DEFINATELY WANT THE SOUNDTRACK.

Also, I find it interesting that Starz put the movie on Demand just a few weeks after I've finished my rewatch of the show. =3

.........

With the exception of Occult Academy (because it's not available on CR for two more days), and Strike Witches 2 (gotta see season 1 first) I've caught up on the summer shows this season available for streaming.

Highschool of the Dead: .....I wanna barf. The concept of zombie apocolypse was always terrifying to me, even when I was a kid. How it's become such a popular topic of discussion is beyond me. Since this is a cartoon, it doesn't freak me out as much as the live action movies, but mostly, if I continue watching this series, I'll be playing it full-screen on my laptop and half pay attention to it while watching something else on TV. It's pretty much the only way I can stomach the show.

Shiki: So far, it's interesting. I really have no major opinion yet, as I have no idea what the fuck happened. XD

Legend of Legendary Heroes: Based off the first episode, it seemed like a typical "We must go on a journey to find the legendary treasure!" fantasy. However, there were also hints in this episode that this tale may have something more interesting beneath the surface. Episode 2 proved that right. I'm hooked, and I hope it stays that way.

Also, John Burgmeier for Sion. I shall accept no on else.

Kuroshitsuji 2: Uh.... I squeed alot during the second half of the episode. Aois is the creepiest fucking kid ever. He's the anti-Ciel.

However, I just might get the arc I wanted. If I get this arc, I will die from squee.

On a side note: Kenichi is on FUNichannel in the background. I love how it's so Looney Tunes-esque cartoony sometimes. That's half the reason I love this show. (The other half is just that it's awesome. XD)

Despicable Me

As a hardcore lover of animation and decent children movies, lemme just say that I, with all my heart, wanted to fall in love with this film.

I spent nearly the entire movie bored.

Oh yeah, I giggled a bit. But honestly, all of the best parts were in the trailers. This movie SERIOUSLY needed a better writer. It had all the potential to be an awesome thing, but the substance it desperately needed was not there. There was also WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much focus on the minions, when more of the film could have been established to focus more on the relationship between Gru and the girls.

Hell, they could have taken out 10 minutes of the minions, and made the climax better. Make Vector a serious bad guy and give Gru use his abilities as a supervillain to kick some bad-guy ass and prove how much he loves those little girls. They almost got me on the edge of my seat when he punched the shark, but then it just went kinda.... meh at the end. It was like having a taste of the awesomeness this movie could have pulled off, and then have it pulled away with an "oops."

The studio seems to be working on another movie called Alpha and Omega or something. It's about wolves. It looks even dumber.

Now, on the other hand:

Other than having a mild issue with the fact they've taken the traditional Disney 2D animation style and turned it 3D, I'm actually interested. Forgetting for a moment that it's based off Rapunzel, and that the trailer suggest Valley Girl accents may take place, this looks like it could be a funny movie. I'm excited.

On a side note: It's nice that Niche was able to get some work. I always knew she'd be great at acting. It's also lovely to see that she learned how to grow.♥

*NOMS*

SO, my coworker has informed me that he knows a girl who can probably make me Erika's dress by the end of the month.

He's gonna ask if she's willing to do it, and he gets until monday to give me an answer. Then I'm byuing the skirt from Sears.

Nothing personal on his part. He's a pretty reliable guy and my self-proclaimed 'work husband'. It's just that it's so close to the con, I can't really wait to find out if she can pull it off just to have it fall through too late to order stuff.
