i think we don't give enough props to this episode for going so hard on the insane rain work they put into these scenes. they did not do any of this fakey pretend rain business, where the actors get to look delightfully attractive with a slight sheen of water on their faces and there's some rain happening in the background, but not on the actors themselves. oh no. they are getting BUCKETS of water DUMPED directly on them at a rate on par with an actual torrential downpour. you can see it streaming into their eyeballs, into their mouths, down their faces. they're spitting it out and constantly trying to brush the water out of their faces. poor torri higginson is straight up shivering in multiple shots, and maybe it's just ~acting, but idk, these people legitimately look like they are having the most miserable time of their lives. a+.

that's what i think too on every rewatch! they were fighting for their lives the colds that might have followed stargate atlantis

Anonymous asked:

Do you think it's immoral to use chatgpt for college assignments? I think it's unfortunately unavoidable.

wenevergotusedtoegypt answered:

It is absolutely immoral, completely counterproductive to the goal of learning things, and turns out incredibly subpar work.

As for unavoidable….you understand that the vast majority of people who have ever graduated college throughout history did so without ever once using AI, right? You understand that?

You understand that the point of writing papers isn’t just to have a paper with words on it, right? You understand that the entire point is to do the mental work necessary to put your learning into organized words, such that you actually learn it? And that if you outsource that to AI you are not learning?
