Disclaimer: I only own the plot

A slim good looking man walked towards a bar looking at the neon lights with more than a little distaste. His name was simply Jun, though sometime to keep things normal he would call himself ‘Matsumoto Jun’ but if asked he preferred to keep things truthful. He didn’t look like the type of person that would be hanging around seedy night clubs in the middle of the night and he wasn’t, but he pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The first thing that hit him was the dim flashing lights, the second was the loud thumping music that would have given him a headache if he could get a headache. The thing that hit him was that he had unknowingly walked into what was a gay club. Even before he made it two steps from the entrance he saw guys making out. This really wasn’t the place that he should look comfortable in but he flashed a semi sexy smile and looked around for the reason that he was here.

“Yo, Kazunari” He said smiling just slightly as he saw a short young faced man sitting on a bar stool holding a glass of something that looked like whiskey. The small guy tensed his hand gripping the glass so tightly Jun could see his knuckles whitening slightly.

“What the hell do you want, wings?” Kazunari asked swallowing the last of his whiskey and ordering another before turning to look at Jun “Why are you even bothering me, I’m sick of seeing your face…”

“I thought you liked my face” Jun teased lightly sitting in the seat next to him still grinning in spite of the others cold nature.

“Hmm, maybe I did once but that was a long time ago, now can’t you just leave me in peace and let me enjoy my drink?”

“You drink too much… Why do you even bother anyway it’s not like you can get drunk…”

“So why are you so bothered? You’re like an annoying wife…Go away… I’m going to give into some carnal lust soon and I doubt you’d enjoy seeing that any more…” He grinned, wickedly licking his lips as his eyes flashed.

“You’re disgusting…”

“Oh really? How did the whole marriage with the accountant work out for you? I heard you got divorced, isn’t that against the rules?” Jun sighed rolling his eyes as he ordered a drink it was non-alcoholic but even if it wasn’t he doubted anyone would care.

(Careful) Kazunari thought with a low chuckle and Jun glared at him, shivering as he felt him slithering around in there.

“Get out of my head or I’ll fry you” he mumbled though he doubted if he would as annoying as he was, he had already learnt that it was good to see a familiar face every now and then even if they weren’t meant to like each other.

Jun was an angel, not the toga wearing halo having types. No Angel ever wore that and anyone who ever thought that they did, really should read the bible again, the fine print. Angels were heaven’s solder’s, most were wrathful dealing out god’s punishment on man, in a calm controlled manner, he hadn’t even seen the good girl angels in anything even resembling a skirt.  His drinking companion for the night Kazunari, was a demon or as the demon would proudly say with a smug smile an incubus. As far as Jun cared they were just slut-y demons, as far as Jun was aware all Kazunari did was, seduce both men and women feeding on their life force until they died. Not that Jun cared, anyone that gave in to a demon deserved what they got.

They were almost born to hate each other and they did but there was only so far hate could get you when they were seemingly the only two of either of their kind left here on earth. 400 years ago there had been a big war between heaven and hell and somehow they had been trapped on earth. 300 years ago they had accepted that 200 years ago they had agreed to stop trying to kill each other and about 100 years ago they had settled into a begrudging friendship. Though it was rare they would be in the same room for more than five minutes without trying to verbally attack each other.

“So what happened?”

“We weren’t compatible with each other” Jun shrugged not wanting to talk about his failed marriage to the human. Kazunari had told him that it would fail when he had first told him about it but Jun had decided that if he was being forced to live on earth he might as well try it out.

“I told you so” Kazunari grinned happily motioning for the bartender to give him another drink. As the bartender poured it the angel noticed Kazunari fingers stroking the back of the bartender’s hand lightly

“Ne, Nino-chan I’m working…”

“Aww, come on Aiba no one’s watching…” Kazunari said slowly using his best smile his eyes dancing

“Your friend is…”

“He doesn’t count and he’s not my friend…” Kazunari sighed pulling his hand back “Fine when do you finish work?”

“In about two hours” Aiba said, for some reason looking at his bare wrist and Jun guessed that normally there should be a watch there

“Two hours? How I’m I going to wait that long?” the demon said flashing a pretty smile his voice sounding as if it was dripped in honey.

“I’ll try and get off sooner” Aiba promised and then quickly walked off to deal with another customer. Kazunari grinned happily drinking his drink even though it wasn’t the one he’d asked for. The angel rolled his eyes finishing his soft drink

“He’s your next… Conquest… Then?” he asked and Kazunari’s head snapped up his eyes flashing just slightly with anger.

“No, Aiba’s different…” He said with all honesty and Jun blinked surprised

“You’re serious?” he asked

“I might be…”

“But… You’re… you…”

“I’m me… But Aiba-chan is a sweet kid…”

“What’s his energy like?” the angel asked guessing that this was all just a joke he was waiting for the punch line to.

“I don’t know, I haven’t tried it” Kazunari admitted looking away almost nervously and Jun felt his eyes bulge out of his head. ‘No way!’ his brain screamed loudly, not wanting to see this side of the demon, they had known each other for over 400 years how could he change now? Kazunari didn’t say anymore though just continued to drink his drinks smiling as seductively as possible at the bartender whenever he walked past. Jun watched him while sipping his own sparkly drink trying to read the demons thoughts but finding no way in.

“Nino-chan… They said I could leave early” Aiba, the bartender said coming up and throwing his arms around Kazunari’s neck and almost smothering with pecking kisses over his lips and face. Not that the demon minded, Jun noticed glumly as Kazunari’s arms went up to hold the human closer. The sounds of their kissing seemed to creep over the sounds of the speaker systems, and Jun cleared his throat a little and when that didn’t work he probed deeply into the demons mind

(Excuse me!) Kazunari quickly broke the kiss flashing Jun a glare, and the angel noticed with only a trace of guilt pain in the demons eyes.

(I’ll get you for that) Kazunari hissed in his mind and Jun just continued to smile

(I’d like to see you try) he said back before saying out loud to the bartender “Hello I’m Matsumoto Jun...”

“Aiba Masaki” the bartender beamed happily sitting in the stool Nino had been and allowing Nino to sit on his lap. “So if you’re not a friend of Nino’s do you work together?”

“We…”

“Used to work for rival companies” the demon finished for him and Jun almost laughed, that really was an interesting way of putting it he thought. (You dare ruin this for me wings and I’ll kill you)

(You’ve been saying that for years, slut, you haven’t done it yet) Jun thought back ignoring the pain that shot through his mind.

“Rival companies? But you work in a game store”

“I do now… I haven’t always… Anyway, come on Aiba… You’re already getting hard” the demon said and Jun noticed him wriggling around on the bartenders lap. Aiba didn’t seem embarrassed though and just flashed Jun a smile as Kazunari got to his feet pulling him through the club. Jun watched them leave through a side door at the back wondering if the demon really was serious about that human.

“Do you want a drink?” Another barman asked and Jun nodded for the first time since he had been trapped on earth he ordered something alcoholic.
