Vanilla/almond white cake with half-a-bag-of-icing-sugar-oh-god-my-teeth-they-are-rotting butter cream icing. Grama's special recipe!







Okay, it's really hard to make brown icing. I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL OKAY.


After extreme experimentation, black icing can be made by dumping half a tube thingy of ALL the food colouring colours into one small bowl of icing.

Er, possibly less if you're going with less icing. YOU DON'T NEED VERY MUCH. I finished the whole cake and Adam's (x2) hair with about as much icing as you'd fit in your palm. Maybe a bit more. I made a third of a bowl of one of the big IKEA aluminum bowls. DON'T DO THIS.

Add icing sugar if it gets too runny. But not more uncoloured icing because then it will just get lighter and you'll want to commit violence.

AND! Put everything in the freezer before you ice. It makes it SO MUCH EASIER to make head spikes. I'm fairly proud of Adam's head spikes, if I do say so myself.
