And we've officially made it to the fourth break!

If you've been looking for a good spot to jump in and follow a schedule, next week would be perfect, as we're re-starting both the Minimum and Medium tracks. Otherwise, it's mostly business as usual.

Also, I promised by this point to have something figured out about premium paid time for original mood themes submitted to be Dreamwidth supported; while premium paid time itself is only offered in six and twelve month chunks, I'm going to be rewarding people in Dreamwidth points regardless, so I'll just do the math and send the equivalent number of points for anyone submitting fewer than 72 moods.

On that note, I've also officially been trained to upload new official, site-supported mood themes to Dreamwidth! So if you've got an original mood theme you've been sitting on and are thinking of submitting, now's a fantastic time to do that, as well. DM me or leave a comment on one of the posts here, and we can get started working on the details 👍

Other than that, it's just the usual break stuff: Catch up on missed moods or revisit any that you think need a touch-up, get ahead on future moods, or just take a break! Whatever you decide to do for the next week, I hope you enjoy it!

The winters seemed to last forever, and the snow was so heavy that they had built a roofed-over compound where they would retreat for the winter, living safely for months, sealed in by snow. I don't have a news article about this to link to or anything but I heard that there were Colombian folk dancers at some event in $LOCAL_BIGGISH_CITY yesterday/today?, and some guy in attendance yelling crap about "speak English, this is America" who was shouted down by the collective fuck-you's of the crowd. (Good.) This would be unacceptable anywhere in the US, but, my dude. The land you are standing on was called Alta California and considered part of Mexico less than two hundred years ago (Spanish colonization of the native peoples is outside the scope of this post 😅). Exactly what the fuck language did you think the name of the city was even in?

Our oldest computer is a AST laptop from 2000 named Obsolete. It runs Windows 98 and had long since retired from duty, on account of it being so old that it was unable to do much besides run Office 97 and play MS-DOS games. It could read CDs, but not write to them, so data could only exit via floppy or zip disc.

However, it turns out Obsolete is PERFECT for inventorying periodicals at the sci-fi library.

This was going to be a bit more meditative, but as I opened to post this my partner came out and started eating loudly next to me and comparing the lengths of our toes. My misophonia was not having a good time. I have since communicated about it, but I fear my serene morning emotions have vanished and been replaced with irritation and no desire to write. Damn. Maybe tomorrow. Attaching a photo of this morning, because I still want to share it.

As television just reminded me, we're now officially half way through the year! That happens to mean that, with how the suggested schedule stacks up, we're also a little bit more than half-way through the Maximum Mood Track 👀

This week's Minimum moods are: Relaxed, Silly, Uncomfortable

This week's Medium moods are: Tired, Aggravated, Annoyed

This week's Maximum moods are: Recumbent, Complacent, Indifferent

This part's optional mood is: Artistic

Complacent and Indifferent seem like the tough ones this week, both in themselves and in differentiating from each other. Complacent is just kinda letting things happen, while Indifferent isn't really caring about things happening. Good moods for stuff going on in the background, I guess! Or maybe you came across some images or ideas in Annoyed that didn't quite fit the bill, because the main subject was just too chill about things. On the plus side, while I still don't think Recumbent is really a mood, it does seem pretty easy to manage for most mood theme subjects*! Just let them lay down for a while 😂

* Exceptions can include things that float, because trying to figure out how to make a cloud lay down was one heck of a headache!

Sneak: I was going to post a bingo card and Mori was going to post Anatomy Lesson, but we installed updates and now our Internet and headphones don’t work. -_- We even specifically DIDN’T install the kernel update to avoid this exact problem before we were done, but I guess we should NEVER install ANY updates before doing work. Lesson learned.

I guess it'll have to wait til we fix this, because typing HTML tables with my thumbs on a broken smartphone sounds terrible.

Sneak: I got a 1 AM idea, inspired by

duckprintspress’s 40 Books Challenge: what if I made a Multi Media Bingo? @_@ (“Multi” being here our idiosyncratic and inadequate term for all sorts of singlet-norm-trespassing, because “multi media” is more fun to say. You get to choose what counts for you!)

I scrawled a bingo card for folks to fill out, either by AUDIENCING a piece of media, or CREATING it. (So the square for “singlet-busting song,” you could achieve by listening to one, singing one, or recording one!) There would be no time limit! (We took a decade to finish the Stuff100!)

People who achieve the bingo get a cute little icon for winning it, made by me! BLACKOUT winners would get a beefed up icon OR a offline sticker I make, because my roomy has a color printer and sticker paper and I am flush with power!

Would anyone be interested in doing this?

Here's the third part of two mood themes - an Ojamajo Doremi theme I'm making as I go, and a Digimon theme I’m (heavily) polishing that I worked on for the last couple months of 2025. Both have borders, are 94x72, and have a few alternate mood image options apiece. I meant to post this weeks ago oops.

The Ojamajo Doremi theme:
- only features screencaps from the first season/series/51 episodes
- is going to be made for Doremi fans in general, trying to give as many characters an appearance as possible and not favour anyone too much except in the sense of the main characters naturally showing up more than other characters

The Digimon theme:
- will feature images from 02 (+ Hurricane Touchdown + The Beginning), Tamers (+ Runaway Locomon), Frontier, and Appmon, also featuring some-but-less Adventure and Ghost Game - mostly screencaps, but also album and video covers, and maybe the occasional trading card or promo art
- was made for me and focuses on characters I like
- occasionally involves Wormmon, aka a cartoon bug. Just in case? (He is a main mood image in part 3)

Both these themes:
- should be assumed to contain spoilers through endgame for all involved canon material
- can be used by anyone! Just please link back to any of my posts in this community in your profile or sticky post or some other public location. I’ll also edit in a compilation post (for each) link with all the images posted in one entry in my journal at the end of the year
