I'm so sorry for up and disappearing. These past two weeks have been pretty crazy, and it's kind of kept me reclusive. Well, "kind of." No, it's definitely kept me reclusive. I had to get on some new medicine for my neuro-condition that gives me chronic headaches, and then had to help my mom with emergency oral surgery. Fun stuff, let me tell you. I didn't sleep more than a couple of hours for a few nights, which I guess made up for the week before where I slept for 12+ hours a day. 8D

My life, you guys. Awesome.

But something actually awesome happened, too. I jumped head first into LJ RP, and joined some amazing people at timeandtides and star_kingdom. Whenever I haven't been working on my scanlation stuff or taking care of myself/others, I've been hanging out with people there. Or doing canon review for new characters to play (currently working on FF3).

I'll probably be starting toffeethesnob's Dissidia meme soon, though, so I can have semi-interesting LJ entries again. xD And, hopefully, some more fics as my creativity comes back.

Until then, it's scanlation work and canon review. Once I get this app in I can breathe easy again. Oh, and wheatcakes, I can't wait to read those fics you've been posting. It will be a wonderful night when I can sit down and do that. *_*♥

I caught a stomach bug yesterday. It's been an exciting 24 hours... Needless to say, I was late for Day 30. So sorry~

I'm hoping Glee and Chopped will pump me back up tonight. Yes, I watch very different and strange shows. 30 more minutes! Guess I'll try to eat some crackers in the meantime. And make more Lili icons while I waste time watching TV.

Day 29 - Current Final Fantasy game obsession.

Um, I guess my main two obsessions right now are XIV and Dissidia Duodecim. Maybe also XI, because it's so close to my heart, and IV because I'm slowly playing through it. And always--ALWAYS--VII. I don't think there's a moment in my life when I'm not passionate for VII in one form or another. Yes, yes, I'm super lame.

I'm currently out of town at my mom's since it's Mother's Day weekend. Normally I would have just called it good with dinner on the day-of, but her husband passed away from cancer last year so I'm trying to be a good daughter. Trying... trying... I need to go start dinner soon. -_-;;

Day 26 - OMG WTF? Final Fantasy moment.

Day 27 – Best Final Fantasy storyline.

I'm not even going to cut this because it's so obvious at this point, isn't it? I worship FFVII's storyline. There are so many layers of complexity amongst the characters, and in the storyline. It's wonderful, I soak stuff like that up. It really seems to highlight the fact that no one is who they appear to be on the outside. Everyone puts on a front, everyone tries to be someone else and hide who they really are. Because people are fragile, and VII's characters know that. As a result, I love the story so, so much.

Honestly, I feel like we don't see another storyline quite as good until the Treasures of Aht Urhgan and Wings of the Goddess storylines in FFXI. Why? Because games made a shift from story to graphics and battle systems after X. How does an MMO have a good storyline? XI reached the end of its graphical abilities by then, and they weren't adding any other revolutionary core game elements, so they knew they had to focus on creating a strong story to keep players around. Hell, even I reactivated my XI account just to finish the Wings of the Goddess storyline. It was that good. ♥

Day 28 - First Final Fantasy game obsession.

FFVII was the first FF that I played. Obviously it was the first one I was obsessed with as well. =P

Day 25 - Final Fantasy game you plan on playing (old or new).
FFIV is the one I'd like to play the most, followed by V. In the far-off future, XIII Versus is a new game I'm looking forward to. Those boys, mmm. Come on, SE, you can make a good game again! *cheers*

Day 23 - Least Favorite Final Fantasy mini game.

Triple Triad and Tetra Master. Card games, ugh. Beyond that... the submarine game in VII gave me some phobias (STUPID EMERALD WEAPON @_@), and--I don't know if this counts but--any time I had to save someone in Dirge of Cerberus. There's a reason I don't play FPSes. Oh, and I also had a love-hate relationship with the mini-game on Fort Condor. And uh... yeah, I can't really think of any others right now.

So yeah... I seem to be in an extreme slump creatively. :( Hopefully I pull through soon, but my sentences the past few days have been as bad as, "He thought it wasn't as bad as he thought." YES. THAT BAD. That's pulling directly from something I'm completely rewriting once I'm out of this funk. Wish me luck. T_T

I'm alive! This weekend got really busy for some reason. @_@ Well, I know why, but I can't explain my exhaustion. I've slept somewhere around 20 hours in the past two days. So weird. Then again, it's about 40 degrees here in Texas on May 1st, so maybe I thought it was time to hibernate. If only, if only...

Day 19 - Best Final Fantasy outfit.

I think that might've taken the longest of any day so far. o_o; Oh well! If I had anything else to say down here, I totally forgot. Back to rewatching old FFXI cutscenes to kill time~ (I swear I'll get back to writing at some point... D:)

Not a lot to update on. My brain refuses to be cooperative for writing, and my husband came home from work today because he's still sick. Of course, he doesn't want to see a doctor, either. -_- Men!

Day 18 - Favorite Final Fantasy opening sequence.
Once again it's a tie! XIV and VII, for completely different reasons that are likely already apparent (awesomeness and nostalgia). I wish I could show you guys a video with my character as the PC from Limsa's XIV opener, but I'm hesitant about using fraps. So have this HD video using a similar character (also, this is the official benchmark so it cuts out things like where you have to run around the ship and fight the jellyfish yourself):



Leviathan and pirates = Kory's a happy camper. Here are a couple of screenshots of my own character from the opening. :) ♥ || ♥ (And yes, this is only if you start in Limsa Lominsa. Gridania and Uldah have their own opening sequences, I just wasn't quite as impressed.)

I love the little details they tacked onto this (like Cloud honoring the Buster Sword), and--ah--such great memories. The compilation of VII works so well in my eyes; I love it. ♥

Oh, and also, I can't wait until the "Royal Wedding" is over. It's all we hear about on the news anymore! HERE! Halfway around the world. Ugh. Sorry to any of my UK friends who are really psyched for the wedding (if there are any), but uuuugh. The US doesn't need 24-hour wedding coverage for 3 weeks. -_-;

Day 17 - Favorite Final Fantasy mini game.
I know I said these in the chocobo entry, but: chocobo breeding, chocobo racing (FFVII), and chocobo hot & cold (FFIX) were probably my favorites. I think I took to VII's breeding and racing because it was similar to Pokemon, which I was also hooked on at the time (what with Cloud aka Jolteon).

Non-chocobo games... Hm... I really liked the Moogle game in the Gold Saucer. Blitzball also probably counts here, and I liked that. I hear IV's are good, so I'm looking forward to that. :)

You know what I don't like? Card games. Screw that. @_@ Don't ask me to think while I'm playing a game! I'm just here for the sexy bois, kay.

I can't seem to shake this muse of mine that wants me to write some stuff for my XI character. -_-; It's overwhelming, ugh. I guess I should try to get rid of it sometime today so I can move back to Dissidia goodness.
