and for the fuck of it.

I was making lasagna and we need ground meat. The nephew Kurt {was making faces to bug me} was the muscles behind the operation. That was deer and elk mixed. We got the cheese from a small farm in Cherryville that makes the best homemade cheese in the world.

It took longer to bleach and clean the grinder than to grind the meat. Those things make me paranoid . Raw meat and germs and all.

I am SICK.

I have a raging lung infection. Its hard to breathe.

But, I am am working on my Christmas dinner menu.

So far a small dinner of 12 people. I am so used to massive huge 50 people Christmas dinner that this is a treat for a change.

Veggies and dips
Brandied cheese ball and cracker.*yes..i make homemade crackers*
Teriyaki chicken wings.*i make the best chicken wings in the world*


Dinner.
cornish game hens with wild rice dressing.
game hen gravy
sliced marinaded flank steak. *so good*
garlic mashed potatoes
brussell sprouts
veggie medly
ham with ham sauce
cranberries
my homemade dinner buns

Dessert.
pumpkin pie
mincemeat tarts with whipped cream
chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and Amarula drizzled all over it.

Assorted boozy coffee drinks. Spanish coffees and such.



Hmmm I think that's it?

i think everyone should post their Christmas dinner menus. It would be fun to see the differences. ^_^

Billy has a heat lamp and a heater in his little barn. Its minus 25 here and I took no chances of him getting cold. I wrapped his 23 y3ar old self in a blankie.

I suppose everyone is this time of year.

I had a brother come up to visit from Vancouver and he brought us the city germs.

Every one in my household is feverish, coughing,sneezing and aches all over.

Me included. In fact, I think I'm the sickest one of the bunch. My fever is so hgh i have quit sweating and my eyes feel like sandpaper.

So It seems I am also the only one with brains enough to make homemade chicken soup, hot Jaggermiesters (spell? too sick to care if its right)with honey toddies ans slather Vicks vapour rub all over their sweaty shivering bodies to help them get better.

Why don't they help themselves? I hope it's not because I will do it. They bitch enough to make it seem they hate my mothering.

And what happens? They all fall asleep like babies and leave the work to me.
