My Hopeless Future
Yesterday & FOOD PR0N!
Yesterday I went out to drive to work, but my car wouldn't start. Luckily, it was Sunday and Daddy drove me. He was able to get it to work again with some fiddling around, so that is good.
I was in a pretty bad mood after work. We had a vicious rain-hail-thunder storm that went right over the airport (naturally). At first I was caught in it, doing the license plate inventory. Then it got worse when I was in the booth, with hail that pounded on the metal roof and gave me a headache. And then there was thunder SO LOUD! I had a headache for the rest of work.
Then the last flight came in forty minutes late, so I had to stay late and I had to pee and I had no change and ARGH. But it's over and today will go better I hope.
Last night I also finished "The Woad to Wuin" by Peter David. The main character really reminds me of
recycling. It was even better than the first one. I'm looking forward to the third: "Tong Lashing".
I get paid on Thursday and it's not soon enough! I'm running out of food. I hate when that happens. Definitely going to have to have a bigger food budget this next check.
And speaking of food ... FOOD PORN!

New Icon and Birthday
I have a new user icon. Get it?! Hero?! Yay.
On my birthday, I went to Denny's to get my favorite sammitch, a Super Bird. Then I went to the Cold Stone and the cool lady gave me a discount on a wad of cool deliciousness... and even a free cone!
I went to the Thrift Store after that and bought myself a couple of presents: a new TV ($4, B&W RCA 12" - about five times the screen surface of the one I was using. I'm still not over how huge it is), a wallet, and a pair of sweet hifi speakers ($3). Then I went to the animal shelter and visited the kitties. I got a card in the mail from my Grandma and Grandpa. :) That night I watched the debate and was torn between anger at Bush and elation that Kerry might actually win the election.
On Saturday my parents and I went to Farmington, where we ate at a big Chinese buffet (my first Chinese food since coming back from China, go me), went to Hobby Lobby, and the mall. I bought some Yankee Candle incense tarts and some M&Ms. Not an overly fun day, but not a bad time either.
I work today at 3. Not excited, not dreading it. That's cool for me. I'm glad I don't dread my job.
Oh, I have Wednesday off, so I'm going to Fahrquahrt's (spelling?) withalmondeyes02, then we're going to watch the last debate. I'm really excited to watch it, considering that it's about domestic issues and those are most important to me right now.

I finally get paid on Thursday, my birthday is on Friday (I'm taking myself to Pizza Hut and to Cold Stone for a free ice cream, then shopping for something I've really been missing the past couple months: food), and I'm going to Farmington with my parents on Saturday (and maybe I can talk the Farmington Cold Stone into a free ice cream as well?).
