Did you know that headcanoning characters as trans is apparently transphobic and misogynistic

Need to stress that if you like the Petra Parker trans Spider-man thing and you wish there was more of it know that I wrote not one but two novels with this basic concept.

The first is Penumbra, which is “what if Venom helped you transition” (for legal reasons her name is Max Powers, not Peter Parker). It’s about depression and kinda also about being plural a little bit but also it’s VERY much about being a trans lesbian

Then there’s the sequel REDSHIFT which follows a more Miles Morales Spider-Man storyline about what it means to be a hero when you grew up worshiping your cop dad but ALSO you are trans (and bisexual). Instead of Spider powers she can fly but you’ll see it. You’ll get it. It’s about the responsibilities of power. Like. I’m not subtle.

I hope you’ll give them a read and, if you liked it, you’ll make some noise about it. Word of mouth is how i’m able to still do this after 6 years :)

sometimes i see an out of context discourse post and im like "hm this really sounds like op is strawmanning a reasonable argument and making up a guy to be mad at." and then i check their blog for context and realise theyve spent the past 72 hours arguing with the human embodiments of the strawman. like damn nevermind im sorry for doubting you. you are fighting battles so cartoonishly evil i cant even fathom them as real. good luck out there.

why do americans think everyone on the internet lives in the same place as them. just saw someone say honeybees are "not native". not native to where????? the entire planet?????

saw a photo of garlic mustard somewhere on the internet once and americans in the comments were like "fun fact this plant is invasive so you should definitely tear out any you see, WITH THE ROOTS so it won't spread!" whole fucking time i'm living in garlic mustard native range. i don't think i will be doing that.

This drives me absolutely up the wall in r/birdfeeding. Every time there's a picture of a house sparrow, the entire comments are filled with americans talking about them being invasive and how they should be basically killed on sight. But often OP has not provided a location, and house sparrows have a HUGE native range. Here in the UK they're not only native birds, they're on the decline, they need our help and protection.
