I try to be funny

@kiyfra

28, theme is whatever my current hyperfixation is

must feel good as fuck to curse a prince for being rude to you while you were larping as an old woman for no reason

... you know. If I could transform into someone a CEO is ethically obligated to help and then punish them for failing to do so, in such a way that they can only be accepted into society again if they learn basic moral lessons about decency, I don't think I would do anything else ever again.

Okay you probably get this a lot but it makes me like really happy to see people 25+ still in fandom and self shipping. Its like really inspiring. (except the proship part but like okayyy sparkle on lvl45)

Re: "(except the proship part but like okayyy sparkle on lvl45)"

I’m answering this publicly because there’s a massive amount of historical revisionism packed into such a short, passive-aggressive comment, and it deserves a proper breakdown:

What "Proship" Actually Means:

It is not an endorsement of real-world harm, nor is it a personal stamp of approval on every fictional trope in existence. Historically and functionally, "proship" simply means pro-fiction and anti-censorship. It means supporting an author's right to write fiction and trusting adult readers to curate their own experience using tags, filters and "Don't Like, Don't Read" (DLDR), rather than harassing creators or demanding platform-wide sanitisation.

Fandom Was Built by "Lvl45+" Fans:

Modern media fandom - fanzines, fanfiction, conventions, shipping, and slash fiction - was literally built from the ground up by female Star Trek fans in the 1960s and 70s typing out zines on typewriters. Many of those original trailblazers are still active in fandom today in their 60s, 70s and beyond.

Respecting Fandom Elders:

Treating adults in fandom like a weird novelty, or acting as if fan culture was invented on social media a few years ago, ignores the exact people who fought for legal fan art protections and built nonprofit, anti-censorship archives like AO3 so everyone else could have a free space to post today.

Fandom has always belonged to adults, and anti-censorship principles are what keep creative spaces alive. So yes, I will continue to "sparkle on" - backed by decades of fandom history.

i never really got it when people made posts about light pollution and seeing all the stars for the first time and crying. i always assumed that everyone has gone on a road trip to a bortle 1.0 place and seen stars like that, and it's fantastic, but not like life changing. and then i went to europe last month and was in a mountaintop village of like 300 people and could see about 5 stars in the sky. like fewer than i can see from my home in a big metropolitan city.

my apologies to the non-africans, i did not realise how fucked your sky is

I just spent a few minutes looking at the maps of where flock cameras are in my area, and when I found a restaurant or store I know with one nearby, I wrote their corporate site to let them know I’d not be going there again until the cameras were gone.

It didn’t take long but it felt like some tiny bit of good to do. Pit the corporations against this shit, they have far more power than I ever will. Just a thing for spare time if you feel the need to DO something but can’t find a way. Worked for me at least.

If you do- Be polite, send nothing that police could call a threat, and maybe remind them that Flock has been caught using these to spy on children and such. Why would anyone take their family to a big corporate owned restaurant when that’s happening? Things like that.

Be safe and stay sane.

You are very talented and your art is very lovely............ It scares me a bit because I have thalassophobia but that's okay <3 Live laugh love fish

I kept seeing people tag my stuff as thalassophobia, thank you for enjoying my art in spite of your fear and I apologize for answering your ask with more of it:

A friend of mine went on an experience where you can swim with manta rays but since it’s at night all you can see is where the ships light shines and the manta rays just sort of appear out of the darkness.

That sounds terrifying to me but I suppose like creepy art if you face your fears you get to see something cool.

Does anyone else get horribly disappointed when an "unknowable" cosmic entity in horror gets described with extremely knowable anatomy. Ah, it has segmented legs and pedipalps? Just like my lovely friend the spider. I escorted two of them out of the house today because I accidentally brought them in on flowers I cut from the garden. This comparison point does not evoke "horror" and "unknowability" in me.

Lovecraftian horror relies very heavily on the assumption that the unknown is itself frightening; that the reaction to 'I don't understand what I'm looking at' will be terror rather than curiosity. This is because Lovecraft was at his core a deeply anxious, agoraphobic, xenophobic man with a bunch of untreated mental illnesses and culturally-ingrained prejudices

need everyone to know that the artist who created this iconic artwork:

is STILL creating wolf art TO THIS DAY. TEN YEARS LATER. proof that the world is beautiful. her username is wolfroad! you can find her art right here, and here are a few of her more recent pieces that I absolutely adore:

checked her page today and I think this might be because of everyone who saw this post and went to support her and show her art some love. the power of spotlighting an artist!! if you know an underappreciated artist, telling people about them could mean the world. [:

Why is it that every time I google something like "Are olives poisonous to cats" the top results are always like "Fun fact: Cats are carnivores! This means that they eat meat. There is no reason to include olives in a cat's diet. You should feed your cat cat food, which is dry or wet food especially designed for cats. You can purchase this at a store." like is there a single person alive on the planet who's googled "Are blueberry muffins safe for cats" because they're planning on switching their cat to a muffin-only diet??? No, I'm asking because the little bastard somehow popped open the packet while I was putting away the groceries and dragged one under the couch before I could react and now I need to know if I should call the after-hours vet. "Cats should not eat spaghetti." NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!!!! "Try to keep human food away from cats." i live in a studio apartment with a completely silent and permanently hungry apex predator who has the intelligence of a toddler and the desperate Machiavellian cunning of a creature who spent his formative months on the streets. He can already open doors and he is this 👌 close to learning how to open the microwave. He is stronger than me and covered in knives. So im gonna do my best but for the moment i just need you to tell me whether this yoghurt is going to kill my son y/n

I've been using the pet poison hotline's poison list cause it has a search function. It also tells you whether something is mildly, moderately, or severely toxic which can be very handy! It doesn't contain like everything but it might be a good place to start, it also includes plants for fellow houseplant lovers <3

For plants specifically, there’s also a wildly detailed set of posts and listings about toxicity on the old, wonderful, Plants Are the Strangest People blog

I’m watching The Big Bang Theory in its natural setting—playing in the background of a hot spiral room—and I can say within that specific context, it is a very charming show. Like the saltine crackers of media.

Hospital room. A hospital room. Not a hot spiral room. What a nightmare idea. And you all rolled with that idea. The idea that I was sitting in a hot sweltering spiral prison watching the Big Bang theory is actually what hell is. Bazinga.

They should invent a cry for help that has zero negative effects on anybody and also that makes everyone treat you like a little animal in a cardboard box. But everyone’s cool with it because you’re a cute little animal and not an adult human that needs to get their shit together to stay alive

This tag literally wins, I literally DO want to be a chiikawas. Honorable mentions to everyone tagging this as petplay though

Generally speaking, do you want to be told if you accidentally reblog/share something that's genAI?

  • yes, no matter what
  • only if it's spreading misinfo*
  • only if it meets some other criteria
  • no (I don't go out of my way to share genAI content but don't care if I accidentally do)
  • no (I already knowingly/willingly share genAI content)
  • nuance button

immediately speed running to delete that shit. AI ain't fucking welcome here brah. no matter if it's "harmless" memes or whatever. None of it is harmless. By its literal design. Stop encouraging or finding amusement in it.

Yes. Jesus christ yes. Tell me, please.

I try to keep an eye open for that stuff but there's always the chance something goes under the radar. I promise I wont be upset if you leave a comment or dm me to let me know! I'd rather know so I can take that down as fast as possible
