Just out of curiosity...

What's with all the Twilight hype?

I finally read the book and found it to be poorly written, the plot unoriginal and stupid, the characters pretty flat, and Edward more annoyingly stalkerish than attractive.

But maybe I'm just not understanding something?

I don't get it.

Here is round two of my icon experiments. Most of these are Gryffindor-related, but a few are not. I'm not quite sure why I'm posting all my experiments for the world, but oh well, it's fun. Some of them are kinda eh but I think some came out good.

Okay, so on H_E I did something weird and signed up for Lims because I was like, hey, it can't hurt, can it? Except the only thing is, I HAVE NEVER MADE ICONS BEFORE. Not, you know, for real. And the only icon maker I have is PAINT. So anyway, I decided to practice because maybe I can be super creative and still make fun icons with just Paint, right? So I used the five images from last term's final Lims round and pretended like I was playing and this is what I came up with:

Okay, but here's the other thing. After I did these, I went and looked at what the actual entries were and, well, most of them were nearly the entire original image resized - but I have no way to resize anything! Does this matter?

This is an extraordinarily belated birthday present to nightrose83!

And they all lived in sunshine and rainbows, puppy dogs and pink bunnies (YES, BUNNIES. PINK ONES. CUTE.). The end :)

You know when you have that nagging feeling that there's something you're supposed to be doing but you just can't think what it could be? That's how I feel right now. I've got this awful knot at the pit of my stomach from...I don't even know what.

Some of this is kinda exaggerated, but here we go!

You know when you write what you believe to be an excellent opening paragraph, or, at least an opening paragraph that gets your point across wonderfully, so you feel like you've done your work for the day, except you haven't because you still have the whole rest of the paper to write? And you've got it all outlined so it shouldn't be that difficult, but somehow it is, because you don't know just how to begin your next paragraph without ruining the perfectness of the opening one? And you want to just frame your opening paragraph and be done with it all? Bugger the rest of the paper! Who needs it?

*sigh* This stupid paper was due 49 minutes ago. I hope that doesn't matter. I hope I go to bed tonight. I hope I don't lose my mind.

On the bright side, I get to spend 5-7 pages bashing an annoying heroine! Yay!
