Kimberly's S/X Fandom Journal

This is my fandom journal, including any snippets of fanfic I write, my thoughts on the fanfic I read, BTVS/ATS icons I make, and all that sort of thing. I've made it a community just so that I don't have to log out of my other journal every time I want to post, since I hope to post here fairly often.

I'll mostly be writing here about Spike/Xander slash (in the BTVS fandom). I started out a devout Spike/Buffy 'shipper and wrote my first few fanfics along those lines, but at some point a gay male friend of mine who's also a huge Spike fan asked me if there was such a thing as Spike/Xander fanfic. I'd never really thought about it before, but I told him I was sure there was, and that I'd look around and send him some URLs. I checked out some of the fics to see if they were good enough to recommend to him, and somehow I got hooked. Now I'm pretty exclusively into S/X fic, both reading and writing. Most of what I write (and most of what I read) is adult in nature and rated NC-17.

(I'll also be writing here about whatever other fandom interests flit in and out of my fannish little brain. Currently, it's Stargate: SG-1, the old stuff with Jack/Sam.)

My non-fandom journal is over at kimberly_a, where I also maintain my LJ reading list. Since I can't friend people here (because it's technically a community), I will friend people there. Please don't feel in any way obligated to friend that journal in response.

I keep an occasionally updated list of Spike/Xander fanfic recommendations here on my website. You might also want to check out my LJ memories, since I also keep track of a lot of other people's fics there (including a lot of one-shots that I might forget to put on my list of favorites).

Oh, and when it comes to writing my own fics, I live for feedback, but I really, really, REALLY suck at responding to comments. It's a personal failing. I'm also pretty much eternally insecure about my writing and fret constantly about whether I'm doing it "right" or not or whatever. It can be highly annoying. I apologize. I don't do it on purpose. I'm just a major worrier.
