Welp, there goes my evening. I just found a movie version of my favorite Lovecraft story, The Colour Out Of Space, done as an indie film by a german. This is going to be gold. :D
... Though for some reason amazon streaming uses the modern spelling, color, as opposed to the archaic spelling Lovecraft preferred. Or the german title of the movie, Die Farbe.

Mom's dead.
Her struggle, her pain is over. Now she can rest.

My mother, the lj user May_lyn, fell while getting out of bed yesterday. Dad called 911 when he couldn't get her back on her feet. She's in critical condition.

I guess it's called a downward spiral because of how fast it goes at the end. She's not there anymore. Machines keep her breathing. There's no recognition in her eyes when I walk into her room, or Dad, or my brother. She said time and again that when it got to this point, let her go. So, in the morning, she's being taken off the machines.
