This Month…
We’re putting Watermelon Wednesdays on the calendar at two partner schools, delivering 60 watermelons twice a month to the Early Learning School and May Christian Secondary School.
It has brought 800 children so much joy. The smiles on their faces has been the highlight of the last few weeks!
Every 1kg bag of our coffee pays for 3 of these HUGE watermelons.
This project has a rippling effect as we pay for delivery and buy direct from local market sellers in Kalerwe, helping support them and their families too.
This is about so much more than just coffee.

2025 Impact Report
This report shares how Every Bean Counts. It brings together the stories, numbers, and progress behind our mission to fund education, support smallholder farmers on Mt Elgon, and build a more sustainable future.
Mission statement
At Kickstart Coffee, we empower Ugandan communities by using proceeds from our specialty coffee to fund education and local development projects. By sourcing our coffee directly from Mt. Elgon, Uganda, we ensure transparent farming practices and fair support for farmers and their families, fostering sustainable and fulfilling lives for the next generation.
We proudly donate 100% of our profits to community-led projects in Uganda. In 2025 alone, we contributed £115,000 to support education, nutrition, and healthcare initiatives that create lasting impact.
The story so far…
Fueling education, one delicious cup at a time.
In 2002, Hannah visited Uganda as a student nurse and it was on this trip that she was introduced to The Early Learning School, Entebbe. She left left with a conviction: every child, wherever they are born, deserves access to healthcare, proper nutrition, and crucially, an education which has the power to break cycles of poverty. For the past 24 years, she has worked to generate income for the school (and now two others!) as well as the local community. Every coffee bean helps to change lives and creates lasting change.
