New Song!

I feel relieved!  Amy's Arms actually has a new song!  Amy's Arms actually has a new bass player who is awesome!  The song just need a bit of tweaking but then it will be up on MySpace to announce to the world that the band didn't DIE!  I don't think it will take Justin and I long to create enough songs to play a show. 
I have to get ready to go out for brunch.  Ah, Sunday morning!

It's been a long time!

But I came back to join a Toronto lolita group here on LJ.  With MySpace and now that Facebook thing .....UGH!  I guess I forgot about my first blogging home!  SHAME!

Nice People!

About two months ago I stumbled across a Japanese band on MySpace called Malice Mizer. I was intrigued by the way they looked. So I clicked on the page and there were all these videos. So I watched one called Kioku To Sora. Then I watched it again just to make sure I had really seen what I had seen and heard. There is nothing better in my world than awesome musicians and I had found some GOOD ones! So I watched the rest of the videos and caught glimpses of what must have been a HUGE visual show. The music was top notch and the costumes were unbelievable! So I figured that someone I knew must also know them, but no. So last week I joined a group of JRock fans and they have been SO nice and SO helpful! I even ended up waaaay out at the Pacific Mall at Kennedy and Finch and found a Gackt (Japanese singer) DVD.

Back again

Well, MySpace is down again.  I just bother with it because of the bands.
Speaking of bands, Marcus removed Kurtys (guitar player) from the line up.  He put a blog about it on his MySpace.  Now I like Kurtys very much, but he titled his blog "The end of a band" or something like that.  Did VBB not exist before him?  I have the first cd and I don't see him on it anywhere.  It's almost like much loved song Creepy Baby Man was written without him.  Sure, Marcus can drive people nuts.  He's a goof.  But however good or bad VBB is or was, VBB will still exist because VBB is Marcus and if we all quit he would find new people in an instant.  And the show would go on.  The other issue I have is of those who left comments on it.  What level thinking adult would only believe ONLY ONE SIDE of a story?  There are two sides to every coin.  Also, Kurtys insulted Marcus and everyone jumped on the band wagon.  Yup, lot's of cheap shots.
One more thing.  In case anyone wants to believe that I am just some cut out back up singer, I actually have another band where I sing full time.  This is actually my primary band and I've been at it for four years.  So for those of you who can't hear my voice at VBB shows, you can listen to it here.
