Four jobs you've done
Sub-editor
In-house editor
Assistant editor
Deputy editor
Or, if you look at it another way, copy-editor, fact-checker, proof-reader, and occasionally I write a bit when I can't get out of it.

Four films you could watch over and over
Die Büchse der Pandora
The Long Goodbye
Once Upon a Time in the West
Withnail and I

Four cities you've lived in
Manchester
Oxford
London
er...
New York. For three weeks, but to the best of my recollection that's the longest continuous period I've lived anywhere that wasn't Manchester, Oxford or London. If non-continuously, Stockholm.

Four TV programmes you love(d) to watch
The Flashing Blade
Blake's 7
Murder Most English (The Flaxborough Chronicles)
Deadwood

Four places you've been on holiday
Firenze
Samarkand
Aubeterre
Cappadocia

Four websites you visit daily
Live Journal (my friends' page)
Cricinfo
CricketArchive
Google

Four of your favourite foods
Cauliflower cheese
Mutter panir
Roast parsnips
The thing with pasta and tofu and mascarpone and various vegetables that I originally got off the back of a tofu packet but adapted a bit, especially by insisting that artichoke hearts were mandatory. And sprouts are the ideal side vegetable.

Four places you'd rather be right now
There is nowhere I'd rather be than Manchester.
But I do miss Stockholm.

Mmm, cauliflower cheese. What is mutter panir? (I know, I could google it, but I'm too lazy to open another browser window.)

Panir is a sort of Indian cheese, and mutter are peas. So it's a sort of pea and cheese curry.

Cheesy peas!

Your spanacopitta (sp?) would be on my list of favourite foods.

Thanks! But I think you mean tiropitta, I don't put spinach in it, just spring onions!

I love matter paneer (which is how they usually spell it here). Greg doesn't so it's a treat when he's away.

You like sprouts, you're odd.

I have never heard of any of your holiday destinations.

And I have never seen any of your four films; you must convince me of those.

You'll have heard of Firenze, you just know it by another name.

And you should have heard of Aubeterre, you've had postcards from there!

Mmm, you do have good taste in food. I love the first three, and "the thing with pasta and tofu and mascarpone and various vegetables" makes me wish that I weren't lacking half the key ingredients...

What were you doing in Stockholm?
