Well... Kendall is now officially 13 months. I didn't post her birthday picture, but she did have one. She's been walking since she was 9 months and is completely and utterly fearless. Of course this makes Mommy terrified all the time. The kid will do, walk off of, climb, eat, attack anything.

Shelby is still the big sister and likes it most of the time, but the other day I got my first "I don't want a baby sister." This was in response to me telling her that she couldn't do something with small pieces in the same room with Kendall because she'd put them in her mouth. Later or in the kitchen on the table wasn't good enough.

Our big news is after living in Columbia, SC for a year and 7 months we are moving to Charlotte, NC. Time to get geared up to sell the house, move, and figure out whether we want to buy new or existing. Not necessarily in that order. I'm not looking forward to the move, or leaving our friends. But DH and I met in Charlotte, and I don't mind going back there.

3 Year Checkup and a couple of more pics

Shelby had her three year check up today and all is well. She screamed bloody murder at getting her finger pricked, but only when she saw the blood. She loves her doctor so all was better when she got to see him. She promptly invited him to Grandmas to go to the beach, and told him to put his swimsuit on. :)

She is 30 lbs and 36 inches tall, so pretty much 50% across the board.

Worlds worst livejournal participant

And I'm using the word participant very loosely.

Ok.. so I realize it's been since September since I have posted. Honestly, I hardly ever find time to get online anymore. The kids are great... but crazy.

Updates: Shelby turned three on July 30th, and rang it in with a big bouncy party with 15 other crazy kids. It was a lot of fun. She has her three year check up tomorrow, so I can give more details. She's been in soccer and gymnastics, and we are looking at starting her in TBall this fall along with gymnastics. Or maybe dance. We haven't nailed it down yet. She is a total girly girl who loves to beat up her baby sister half the time, and spoil her rotten the other half.

Kendall is 10 months old, walking all over the place and eating every thing she gets in her mouth. Where Shelby was in the 5th percentile for height and weight at this age, Kendall is in the 90th and 75th respectively. She's our little happy chunky munkey and she LOVES her big sister.

We've been trying to beat the heat by spending most weekends at my parents near the beach. So my kids have become little water babies. It's been nice (we've gotten spoiled living so close to the ocean, it used to take us 6 hours from Atlanta. It takes 2.5 now.)

Overall, life is good! I'm going to try to come back and post a couple pics.

Very brief update...

The move is complete. It was absolutely and utterly the worst experience as murphy's law kicked in and took over my life for two months. But I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Shelby is adjusting, we have a yard for the first time and a great big one at that. My pregnancy is going pretty well, a few minor problems but I really can't complain. And we are starting to meet people. We seem to be in a pretty cool neighborhood. Also, one of my favorite people just got engaged to another favorite person. So there has been some pretty good stuff going on with the bad.

Now to finish unpacking...

She's finally getting better

Shelby had a stomach virus. Today Shelby doesn't have a fever, finally. She has held down some food which she hasn't been able to since Thursday. Her little pudgy fat is gone on her arms and legs, it's kind of pitiful. But she seems happier and is constantly asking to eat. I think she'll get her pudgy fat back in no time.

I never signed up for this...

Oh my God. Shelby was laying next to me this evening and suddenly she started heaving. BOOM! I'm covered in vomit. Three times later she's finally clean, not crying and sleeping.

No fever.. not sure what's up. Just sick as a dog and very upset about it. Believe it or not this is the first time I've ever seen her truly puke.

Quick update

I haven't been online much. I had computer problems (thanks Zone Alarm) for awhile that kept me off the internet for about 3 weeks. That is all fixed. We had some concerns with the baby but an ultrasound showed us that all is well with him/her. I'm now 12weeks along and everything looks great. The weird thing is I gained something like 12lbs with Shelby by this point. Most of my weight gain was during the first 3 months. With this one I'm actually down 2lbs from where I started. I think it's just because I'm running after a 19 month old everyday. One other thing, I think we made our final decision not to find out if it's a boy or girl. Once again we want to be surprised! Yay!

Shelby is doing great. Growing like a weed and starting to talk up a storm now. The big shocker is her use of Thank You on a regular basis. We'd just started working with her on that and she's run with it. I give her lunch, she says "Tank You!" like she's really excited to get it. I hand her a snack, a toy, a hug. And this sweet little voice says "Tank You!" She even picked up the sign for it after me showing her just twice. She also picked up swing (she loves to swing) and several others after being shown them once. The only bad thing was two weeks ago she had another Febrile seizure in the middle of the night. We were at the emergency room from 1:30 to 5am getting her checked out. This one was a little odd, the seizure lasted longer than last time and her fever only went up to 100.3 which apparently is a littl unusual. But still she's fine and she recovered much faster then her Daddy and I did. They just told her that at the first sign of fever we should start treating it with Tylenol or Motrin.

Traffic has picked up at the house too. We are still trying to sell it. We have a contract on a house in South Carolina. It's new, they are adding a fireplace to it and upgrading the carpet. Also they are doing some clearing in the back yard and fencing it in. However we can't close quite yet because we have the house here yet. For 2 weeks we had no one go through it, then last weekend we had 5 people, and on Thursday alone we had 4. We even had an offer, but this guy offered 13K less then our asking. Wanted us to pay 3K towards his closing costs (so 16K less then our asking technically), and he wanted our dog pen, fridge, washer and dryer, and wooden swingset without any compensation. I thought it was kind of rude. I guess he's an invester and didn't want to spend any more. We've checked and double checked. The house is priced right in the middle of what it's worth. We countered with our bottom line, which I don't think he'll take. So hopefully someone else will come along and activity going through will remain high. Say prayers, we are ready to move. Just to get settled and ready for the next little ankle biter on the way.

Staying home and other random thoughts.

I'm having a blast. Shelby and I have discovered the library. The special events held at the mall and bookstores. And our favorite. http://www.kangaroobobs.com . She calls it the "Jumpy Place" with big inflatables that she can run around and act the fool in. She loves it. I don't miss work at all.

Nt big announcement is I'm pregnant! Shelby will have a little brother or sister due September 24th. So my energy level is sort of sapped right now and I've had more nausea with this one then I did with Shelby. We found out the day after I quit work. We've also put in an offer on a house in South Carolina, but still haven't sold the one here in Georgia. Not sure why, price is reasonable. House is in good shape and I've kept it show ready (it's killing me) as much as possible. Hopefully soon though. The house in SC is a little smaller, is brand new and is in a great neighborhood with a pretty big lake and a pool. We are looking forward to it.

Enough for now.
