It's also just funny because it's $15 for a name change, and back in the day I got an entirely new journal JUST to change my username. Like, I was THAT BROKE. and now i'm like $15 WHAT A FUCKIN STEAL, SOLD.

okay I'm gonna start a tag series called THE LOST YEARS or something to cover the period of time where I didn't fucking update at all, so like...from 2012 through 2015? I'm just going to pick interesting things that happened and write about them as I remember them. Cliff-notes version, because fuck if I can remember every detail. Which is kind of why I'm doing this, because I don't want to forget the cool things that have happened and ACTUALLY it's been an interesting couple of years.

2012
-- January: Last semester finishing pre-reqs to get into the Vet Tech program.

-- April: Trip to IN with Jess to visit Jenny for a long weekend. Kentucky Derby stuffs and wine tasting fun. ALSO I was accepted into the Vet Tech program to start in the fall! This year was really a turning point for me in the best of ways.

-- June - July: My sister got married and I was her maid of honor. Spent the month in VT (June 8th to July 9th). Shenanigans include a trip to Cedar Point with Joe and Maia, a hilarious accidental butt-dial, and Katie's bachelorette party.
-- August: Began my first semester at FRCC to become a Veterinary Technician.

2013
-- January: Trip to LA with Jenny to visit Jess! I went to the casino!! Won $85 grin emoticon Also tasted the hottest hot sauce (supposedly) that made me want to die for about five minutes, stayed in a haunted guest house, ate gumbo and walked down Bourbon Street, saw an AWESOME magician, went on a swamp tour and a bunch of other awesome things!!

-- May: Began my internship at Paws 'n Claws.

-- July: Spent this month in VT! Went to Cedar Point twice; once with Maia and Jenny, and then another time with my parents and sister on our way back from my aunt's wedding in MI. I blacked out on a roller coaster. Good times.
-- August: Jess F. visited me for a week! Fun times in Denver and at my place. X-men lulz. JEEEAAANNNNN!!!
-- September: Tycho had his first dental.
-- October - November: School school school.
-- December: Went home to VT for Christmas.

2014
-- January: Vet Tech internship at CSU starts. I missed the first 3 days because I was TRAPPED IN VERMONT THANKS TO A STUPID BLIZZARD. Thanks to the help of wonderful people like Anne G. and Dr. B. AND my super supportive classmates (MOO!) I was able to keep my schedule intact and get up to speed in order to successfully complete my first rotation. Insert talk about internship stuff and all my rotations here. ALSO got contact dermatitis during my radiology rotation and nearly passed out driving home. Took my first pregnancy test (I was paranoid and it had been a VERY stressful few weeks). January was a hell of a month.
-- February: Went to LA to visit Jess F. for her birthday! :D Took a week off during my internship. So many good times were had!
-- March: My internship ended. My class held a pinning ceremony at the college for friends and family to attend, which was preceded by a small dinner at Noodles & Co with a group of classmates.
-- April: I took this month off to relax after the end of classes.
-- May: I graduated tech school! My family came out to visit me for a week around Mother's Day (mom, Katie, Jake and Katie's husband Jason) so they could see me graduate, and then after that Maia came out to visit for 2 weeks. May was a great month! Hell, this was a great year all around.
-- June: I was hired for my first vet tech job! And promptly bought my first smart phone.

-- August: Passed my VTNE! Officially a Certified Vet Tech! :D
-- September: My brother Joe got married. Spent about a week in NH/VT area. Got into climbing with Jess T. Super fun!
-- October: My parents sold the house I grew up in and moved to FL. I took in a foster kitten. Kevin and I got engaged on the same day that Kevin unofficially got his PhD. Foster kitten found a lovely home.
-- November: Thanksgiving with the Thompkins/Gleason family. Foster kitten died (heart defects - VSD) D:
-- December: Kevin's graduation. Kevin's family came to visit the week before Christmas and we had a mini-Christmas together.

2015
-- January: Visited my parents in Florida, went to Universal Studios.
-- Feb - May: IDK I CAN'T REMEMBER MUCH. I guess nothing much happened then. My parents had a falling out with my aunt in Florida and they moved to NH near my brother and his wife.
-- June? or July? -- Visited VT for about a week, got my third tattoo! Plus an excursion in Maine with Maia and her family.
-- August: Pretty boring month, far as I can tell.
-- September: Kevin was offered a post-doc position in DE. Rough month, super stressful.
-- October: Moved across country from CO to DE with the cats in the car (lovely story to come). Spent Halloween in Salem with my mom and my sister and my sister's husband.
-- November: Fallout 4 came out!! Spent Thanksgiving with the Whitcomb family + Maia and Matt and Kyle. My parents hated being in NH so they moved down to NC.
-- December: Got a new job. Spent Christmas with my parents in NC.

2016
-- January: Newark sucks. I have lots of anxiety, so superfun. Found out that my brother and his wife are expecting their first child.
-- February: Adventures in anxiety continue with its sidekick Depression. I start going back to the gym and focusing on getting back into shape in earnest, and it helps a lot with getting me feeling like myself again. Saw Deadpool twice, it's fucking awesome.
-- March: is right now. Looking forward to...PAX East, Dirty Girls mud run, my first niece/nephew being born, hopefully a trip to NYC soon.
-- April: PAX East
-- May: Trip to NC for Mother's Day weekend. My sister and her husband recently moved down there so I saw them, too. We saw Captain American Civil War and later went back to watch Ant Man at the house. My mom was coming up with various wedding ideas.
-- June: Was looking for jobs elsewhere because I couldn't stand working at TVH anymore.
-- July: Was offered a position at OVH, gave my 2 weeks notice at TVH. Then - Dirty Girl Mud Run! it was cold af and rainy but we had a blast. Maia got me into Pokemon GO! and we spent the rest of the weekend collecting pokemon. 15th was my last day at TVH and then I started at OVH on the 18th. On the 22nd my nephew was born.
-- August: Went to NH for a weekend to see my brother, sister-in-law and meet my nephew. They're all moved into their new house now.

Jess telling me she had to convince herself not to buy a stack of fucking books LOL

C) What time do you wake up most mornings?
6-6:15 *super sad face* I am not a morning person, but it takes me 25-40 minutes to get to work depending on how shitty the traffic is. Stupid traffic.

D) Are you afraid of walking alone at night?
Nope, I love walking at night!

E) What do you do to relax at the end of a stressful day?
Either go to the gym to work off the stress orrrr eat chocolate. Sometimes both xD

F) Where did your last kiss take place and with whom?
Umm...I walked out of the bathroom and kissed Kevin.

G) Do/did you get into trouble a lot at school?
Not really. Most days I was avoiding interaction like the introvert I am xD

H) Do you enjoy your job? If unemployed, are you content being so?
I do! I'm a Veterinary Technician. I love working with animals more than anything, although my current job has some downsides. I wish some things were different, but it's honestly temporary until Kevin finishes his post-doc, so I can deal with it until then.

I) Do you often pick up on double entendres and innuendos?
Yeah usually.

J) Have you ever been offered drugs but declined?
Listen, I lived in Colorado for like 8 years xD

K) Have you ever met someone who has completely altered your way of thinking?
Probably. Every now and then someone brings up a point that I'd never thought to question before, and when challenged to think of why I do or don't agree, sometimes I find that my answer isn't what I thought it'd be. That sort of thing. I can't think of anything specific off the top of my head, but it happens.

L) Have you ever been offered drugs and accepted?
Shouldn't this have directly followed the declining drugs question? Anyway, yes.

M) Tell us something weird that turns you on.
Like how weird? idk I can't think of anything super weird, lol.

N) When did someone last admit romantic or sexual feelings for you? Was the feeling mutual?
idk I live with my fiance, it happens often. So yeah it's mutual.

O) What is something you have given a lot of thought to lately?
Babies o___o Like, not in the immediate future, but I have been warming up to the idea in recent years.

P) When did you last swallow your beliefs to avoid an argument or confrontation?
tbh it's awful hard for me to do that, it's really unusual. Although a co-worker I get along with pretty well recently was saying how much she hates Obama and I just kept my mouth shut about my own opinion. But that's fucking politics and boring anyway.

Q) Do you usually initiate hugs?
Depends on who it is. With my fiance it's usually me doing the hugging.

I can be, but usually no. Emotional shit isn't the easiest thing and I get super awkward about it.

Hell yes. I have 3 at the moment. I want more. At least 2 more - one on my shoulder and then a half-sleeve on my upper arm. A watercolor tattoo...those are amazing.

WTF this makes me irrationally irritated, your 20th fucking kid, are you NOT HAPPY with the 19 you already have?! You just want to burden the world with your spawn so they can also have 20 fucking kids and help deplete the Earth's resources faster than ever before. IT'S GOD'S WILL, PEOPLE, OK? If I were religious I'd rant about how god gave us free will and etc., but I'm an atheist so whatever. On a more serious note, I do think it's sad that the unborn child - however far along it was that it could even be called a child at that point - had to suffer for the irresponsibility of its parents. Not only are they irresponsible, but selfish. Selfish as FUCK. She's 45; she HAS to know that any children she has at that point in her life are at serious risk of having severe birth defects (hell, the 19th baby is what, mentally challeneged? I just know that he/she barely survived birth as it is) and that STILL doesn't stop them from having more!? Dude. Not cool. Do they not even CARE that they are unnecessarily putting a child through a lifetime of difficulty? It'd be one thing if it weren't intentional, and while it probably WASN'T intentional, they sure as fuck aren't doing anything to prevent it. idk I think that's fucking cruel, personally. I wouldn't want that life.

I'msotired zzzzzz

Well. There went a few weeks with no entries. I didn't do it on purpose though! I started getting carpal tunnel so I had to limit the use of my right hand as much as possible to make it go away as fast as possible. It was...hard, LOL. It's still tough D: If I ever lost my right hand, damn, I would just be up shit creek, because lefty is NOT very efficient =\

But it wasn't that bad to begin with, I realized early on what it was, so I've got a brace and I've been icing my wrist, and I've got some NSAIDs to keep inflammation down. It seems to be improving, so whoohoo! :D

ANYWAY SO HEY GUESS WHO'S GETTING A SONY VAIO? AWW YEAH. I've been wanting one ever since high school, it's pretty much my dream laptop *_* I'm using the money I'm getting from my tuition refund. Yeah whatever I have to pay it back someday, but the way I see it, I'll either have a great career going or the economy will have fucking collapsed and I'd have been screwed regardless. I also need to use some of it to get my eyes checked and go to the dentist. I haven't done either in years and I'm long overdue.

SO DAMMIT THEY NEED TO PROCESS MY REFUND, I'M SO ANXIOUS FOR THAT LAPTOP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF D:

It's been so rainy out all day, it's STILL raining. And Kevin's gone to a science convention. So I spent a lot of today playing WoW XD Anyway I was in a dungeon with a random group of players, toward the end we were crossing this crumbling bridge over a lava pit and this happened:

So stupid wtf XD It's really fucking annoying when two players are all flirting with each other and shit while the rest of us are trying to play *eyeroll* He was like saying dumb shit to be funny to her the entire time, neither of them acted like the other players even existed until we had a wipe and suddenly the rest of us were dumb for not killing the adds fast enough. Fuckers.

So yeah I thought it was kind of hilarious XD I don't even know if anyone on here plays WoW at all, but basically, a dumb bear fell into a pit of lava because he was stupid :D

As a side note, I'm starting to feel as though I don't like a lot of the other girls who play WoW =\ They're just so... "teeeeheeeee~ I'm a kitty, KITTIES ARE CUTE!! :D I know nothing about gaming LOLOLOL!!!" or "GRR WHY ARE THINGS NOT DYING. MY CLASS SUCKS!! >___< OMG I'M LOST WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS!? WHAT THE FUCK. 5 WHOLE MINUTES TO GET INTO A DUNGEON?!!!?!" or they have to fucking make a big show of the fact that they are girls and they know how to play WoW. Like that's something special :P Yeah, there may not be as many of us on there as guys, but there are still a lot of us, and people like those girls are kind of embarrassing.

...Also, I seem to attract all the creepers of the internet on there, somehow. I always get weirdo players running up and doing inappropriate things to my characters, or my poor poor mounts D:

Anyway. Damn it feels later than 10:30. I hope I can wake up tomorrow without Kevin to poke and prod me until I get up :P I've been going to bed earlier lately but it seems I still need to hire a marching band to wake me up. I could probably sleep through just about anything D:

oh god dammit I want to draw right now, so badly, it's the only thing I want to do and it's the one thing I CAN'T do because I'm going to fucking get carpal tunnel if I keep trying to do it >_< well, I've never had it before, so I don't totally know what it would feel like but I googled the symptoms so who needs doctors AMIRITE?!

Yeah so anyway, joking aside, Friday night I had been working on something for a while and when I stopped, my hand was numb and my fingers were all tingly so I freaked and stopped drawing, then made myself abstain until about last night when I tried sketching something quick. Fifteen minutes or so later my fingers are tingly again, so I stopped. ARGH. Why me?! Dammit!!

I'm also worried that I have a cavity (another thing which I have never experienced, so I'm not totally sure about that either), and have been for a while, but there's literally nothing I can do about it when I have no extra money to spend on a trip to the dentist. I'll just have to wait and see what I get back for my financial aid refund and maybe I'll be able to do it then.

I also need new glasses/contacts because my eyesight is beginning to suck.

...I also need to figure out how to launder money because this shit is ridiculous.

In um, better news...school is going fine, minus the fact that the biology lab is a fucking refrigerator....wait. Okay fun fact: all my life, for some fucking reason, I've been spelling it 'refridgerator' WTF WITH A D IN IT. WHAT THE HELL THAT'S NOT RIGHT. LOL. WHAT. Anyway yeah, so the lab is like being in an icebox even though it's been in the 90s until this week, so I've taken to wearing sweatshirts and jeans to school just so I can stay warm enough to be able to concentrate on what the instructor is talking about @_@ Other than that, it's been going well :3

Jesus christ wtf my cat is seriously broken today, all he's been doing is going around the house and YOWLING for absolutely no reason at all. Not sure what he's on about, I don't really pretend to understand his eccentricity LOL. I love my cat, really, but this is ANNOYING D:

but anyway, what else....oh yeah I must nerd out about the fact that I've reached level 85 on my main toon in WoW TEEEHEEEE~ LOL, yeah whatever, laugh/roll your eyes at me, go right ahead. At least I'm not one of THOSE people. You know, the kind who don't understand what life is like without World of Warcraft? Everyone knows at least one! IDK, not really sure how anyone can sit there all day and do nothing but play WoW but they manage it somehow o_O The game gets a bad rep for "ruining peoples' marriages" or whatever but it's seriously stupid to blame a game for a person's irresponsibility LOL. If not WoW I'm sure it'd be something else, in their cases.

I suppose that about wraps it up. Freaking Labor Day and nothing being open... *grumbles*

Okay also, games I play right now: WoW, Dragon Age, Fable 3 and I'm trying to get into Mass Effect. I started a pt but I haven't played in a while.
