Hello all, kinda sad today but I'm still going to post my annual Best 2 Albums of 07 for me. And just update about other stuff. My great aunt who I was VERY close to passed away this morning. It hit me pretty hard because I just got accepted to Baylor University which is like a HUGE thing for me and my family and I just wanted to her to see that I finally got in. I know she is in a better place because she was a good Christian woman. I know some of you don't really believe in all of Christianity and all that but whatever. She was probably one of the most unselfish people I have known and would do anything for anyone. But now my family won't be in debt with my dad's medical bills anymore and will get alot of pressure off my parents because of the inheritance we will be getting, even though I would rather spend 100 more years with my aunt than get one dollar from the inheritance, but that is just not the way God and Aunt Sara wanted it. So yeah, well on to the awards.
The best album of 2007 for me is Fall Out Boy's "Infinity on High".

I know Fall Out Boy catches alot of crap for being too poppy and famous and all that. Well whatever, I like them and liked them way before they even made it big. I picked this album because it's still a punk rocking good time but also expands their expertise of their musicianship and lyric writting that is much deeper than what all the teeny boppers that like them know. Just the way the music flows on this album there is just not a bad song on it. Which is rare for me to actually like the WHOLE CD. :p The CD also reminds me of the summer of 06 where there were alot of ups and downs for and was just a crazy roller coaster ride emotionaly. The whole album reminds me of that summer, and probably always will. Just great stuff that is waaaay better than any of the radio rock crap they play on modern rock staions (Nickleback and Hinder I'm looking in your direction you bro-rock hipsters)So yeah that is my first pick. My 2nd pick is a more agressive pick, music wise.
My runner up album of the year was kind of hard to pick because there were alot of albums that were great and alot of different directions were taken by punk/indie groups to expand their musical talent and just be different and seperate from the crowd of crap that is plugging the radio stations and Best Buys. But this album I have just started listening to and after the first listen it just grew on me and I had to pu tit as a runner up because it is just THAT good. yeah it was released in 06, but I still just discovered it so to me it counts.
It's The Bronx "The Bronx"

The power of this album is just amazing. At first I didn't like it but it really grew on me. The lead singer kinda screams and yells but the way he does it it is melodic and not all over the place like some bands. It flows with the music so well it's just awesome. The guitars and drum work on the album is just amazing, and top notch. Not always found on a hardcore punk album.
So there they are, my two albums of the year. Pretty good year for music, I hope 2008 is just as awsome! :)
Well i guess that's it, all I've been doing is hanging out with my girlfriend and family. I finally saw Spider-man 3 and Superbad. Superbad was pretty funny, Spider-Man...well sandman was a good villain, Harry was kinda lame as the new Goblin, but cool in some parts, but the movie itself, while not bad, wasn't that good either. I think it would've been ALOT better without emo-Parker. That was pretty pointless and didn't belong in the movie, and probably the lamest thing in a superhero movie since the bat-nipples. They did Venom pretty good though. Speaking of superhero movies, I am so pumped for The Dark Knight! From what I've seen in the trailer, THAT is how the Joker should be, a psycho, homicidal, clown prince of crime. Jack Nicholson's Joker pales in comparison so far to the new Joker. Anyways, I'm also getting all my Baylor stuff ready, I'm all stressed out but excited. I'm also very sad right now because of my aunt, but now I'll get through it. When ever a loved one dies, I always feel better after the funeral because every one is around remembering the good times with the person and I'm surrounded by people who love me and who loved the person that has passed on. Well I've typed a long on, so I guess I will jet on off, cyas later peeps!!!! Oh I'll probably post about what I got for christmas later on if you all are wondering. :p
