"Lets hear it for Americas suitehearts!"

Wow what a year 2008 was. Started out crappy for me because my aunt died at the beginning of the year and my relationship with Jaci hit some rocks but the good and great things were that I finally made it to Baylor University and have now had two successful semesters at a prestigious college and I am quite proud of myself. Also we finally have some hope in our football team, as in 2008 we showed that we can compete with other Big 12 teams now thanks to a new coach and a awesome freshman quarterback, Robert Griffin III. Watch for Baylor to be in a Bowl game in 2009. Anyways other good things in 2008, awesome music of course which I am going to put my two best albums of the year up in a second. Made a new friend or two at college and will now probably make more since I am moving towards my major upper level classes. There was also cool movies in 2008 and one showed that a comic book movie can take itself seriously and have good acting. That was The Dark Knight. No goofy villains in loud colored costumes and corny lines, no lame dancing scenes from our hero (looking at you Spiderman 3), just all around awesome acting, great story and character development and tension, it was THE best movie of 2008. Now on to the best two albums of 2008.

Our first album was a breath of fresh air to the wourld of punk, with cookie cutter neon punk boy bands showing up its hard to find some new original stuff in the scene of bad haircuts and guys wearing girl pants. This album is from the punk vets of Dillinger Four and their 2008 album "Civil War" It shows that even a old punk band can bring something new and great to the scene. With probably the best two songs of the year "Fruity Pebbles" and "Gainesville". The rest of the album if just awesome in its songs, lyrics and its music craftsmanship. So it's my beat album of 2008.

Dillinger Four's -"Civil War"

The second album of the year was a late comer, being released at the beginning of December but probably still one of the best of the year. It's Fall Out Boy's "Folie à Deux". With this album FOB show that they can push the scene in a new direction and still put out a great album. ""The (Shipped) Gold Standard" and ""America's Suitehearts" are my two favorite songs from this album and I suggest to check them out.

Fall out Boy's -"Folie à Deux"

Well I guess that's it, kinda in a hurry because I have to jet off to work so i might update this post to add more stuff. See you all later and have a great 2009!!!!! Sic em Bears!

Ah well.

McCain lost. Not too happy about it but that's what he gets for picking a bad running mate. Should've gone with Liberman. I hope Obama really does mean what he says. Bring both parties together and try to fix things. I'll support him and pray for his success and will oppose him when I feel he is wrong. So far he making good choices. And if you didn't vote and are celebrating/crying...you are morons. just my two cents.

At baylor....yo.

Just updating a little I guess. Waiting in between classes. just a few words: Last weeks south park was dead on, the more I think about Crystal Skull the more it sucks, it needs a riff trax big time. Saw some clone wars episodes, kinda lame in some parts but other parts it shines, I'll probably enjoy it more than the actual prequels. Always Sunny In Phlidelphia is probably my favorite new show of the fall, any show that makes a episode about just pooping the bed is comedy gold. Baylor is going well thought spanish was a bitch and i had to drop it, other than that all my classes are pretty cool. I start upper level stuff next semester (political science and history) so i am super excited for that. And anyone who knows a very easy language to take give me a heads up. That's it for now!

"To be swallowed whole by the big blue empty sky, feel the heavens stare"

Hello all, kinda sad today but I'm still going to post my annual Best 2 Albums of 07 for me. And just update about other stuff. My great aunt who I was VERY close to passed away this morning. It hit me pretty hard because I just got accepted to Baylor University which is like a HUGE thing for me and my family and I just wanted to her to see that I finally got in. I know she is in a better place because she was a good Christian woman. I know some of you don't really believe in all of Christianity and all that but whatever. She was probably one of the most unselfish people I have known and would do anything for anyone. But now my family won't be in debt with my dad's medical bills anymore and will get alot of pressure off my parents because of the inheritance we will be getting, even though I would rather spend 100 more years with my aunt than get one dollar from the inheritance, but that is just not the way God and Aunt Sara wanted it. So yeah, well on to the awards.

The best album of 2007 for me is Fall Out Boy's "Infinity on High".

I know Fall Out Boy catches alot of crap for being too poppy and famous and all that. Well whatever, I like them and liked them way before they even made it big. I picked this album because it's still a punk rocking good time but also expands their expertise of their musicianship and lyric writting that is much deeper than what all the teeny boppers that like them know. Just the way the music flows on this album there is just not a bad song on it. Which is rare for me to actually like the WHOLE CD. :p The CD also reminds me of the summer of 06 where there were alot of ups and downs for and was just a crazy roller coaster ride emotionaly. The whole album reminds me of that summer, and probably always will. Just great stuff that is waaaay better than any of the radio rock crap they play on modern rock staions (Nickleback and Hinder I'm looking in your direction you bro-rock hipsters)So yeah that is my first pick. My 2nd pick is a more agressive pick, music wise.

My runner up album of the year was kind of hard to pick because there were alot of albums that were great and alot of different directions were taken by punk/indie groups to expand their musical talent and just be different and seperate from the crowd of crap that is plugging the radio stations and Best Buys. But this album I have just started listening to and after the first listen it just grew on me and I had to pu tit as a runner up because it is just THAT good. yeah it was released in 06, but I still just discovered it so to me it counts.

It's The Bronx "The Bronx"

The power of this album is just amazing. At first I didn't like it but it really grew on me. The lead singer kinda screams and yells but the way he does it it is melodic and not all over the place like some bands. It flows with the music so well it's just awesome. The guitars and drum work on the album is just amazing, and top notch. Not always found on a hardcore punk album.

So there they are, my two albums of the year. Pretty good year for music, I hope 2008 is just as awsome! :)

Well i guess that's it, all I've been doing is hanging out with my girlfriend and family. I finally saw Spider-man 3 and Superbad. Superbad was pretty funny, Spider-Man...well sandman was a good villain, Harry was kinda lame as the new Goblin, but cool in some parts, but the movie itself, while not bad, wasn't that good either. I think it would've been ALOT better without emo-Parker. That was pretty pointless and didn't belong in the movie, and probably the lamest thing in a superhero movie since the bat-nipples. They did Venom pretty good though. Speaking of superhero movies, I am so pumped for The Dark Knight! From what I've seen in the trailer, THAT is how the Joker should be, a psycho, homicidal, clown prince of crime. Jack Nicholson's Joker pales in comparison so far to the new Joker. Anyways, I'm also getting all my Baylor stuff ready, I'm all stressed out but excited. I'm also very sad right now because of my aunt, but now I'll get through it. When ever a loved one dies, I always feel better after the funeral because every one is around remembering the good times with the person and I'm surrounded by people who love me and who loved the person that has passed on. Well I've typed a long on, so I guess I will jet on off, cyas later peeps!!!! Oh I'll probably post about what I got for christmas later on if you all are wondering. :p

I'll tell the world just how you got that perfect smile I can't withstand

Wooo, I have been in college away from home for like 4 weeks now! Kinda proud of myself actually. I have been doing my homework and keeping up with my studies and it look slike I can really ace this semester and get into Baylor for the spring. The only thing that's holding me back some is the job search. I'm just trying to find one so i can pay my bills and such. But oh well, I'm sure i will find one soon, I'll be applying to TGI Fridays and Chili's next week along with a Christian bookstore. heh maybe I'll get lucky and a comic or game store is hiring, that'd be super cool :p i'm such a geek. Anyways, I'm really missing Jaci right now. I am always missing her while we are away from each other, but we are kinda close, only a hour and a half away. but still, being away from someone you love very much is hard. But it looks like I will see her in like 2 weeks, which is exciting!!!! Well if i don't get any bites from TGI's or Chilis. Or sears even. I had a interview there but they haven't called me back. i was like one of 4 dudes applying for one position. So the odds weren't in my favor. So i think with my waitstaff know-how I think it'll be easier to get a job waiting on tables. Well i guess that's it for now, I'll update whenever I can! I love you so much Jaci!!!!!!

You make me high, You make me real, You make me cry

Hello all! Updating a bit before I go to work. Which my last day is tomorrow from that pit. It was cool before the bosses startded becoming dicks and cutting back hours because they spend it on useless things and screw us over. Whatever, i am gone and I am moving on in a new chapter in my life. Going to Waco to MCC, a community college that feeds right into baylor. So I will spend a semester there then mov eon to Baylor for the spring. I will be looking for a job there to support me through the semester then when I get into baylor I will work there with a work-study job. Though in the event I do not get into baylor I will be applying to SHSU at the University center here and finish my degree there. Either way I am getting my degree in two years or less. Period. So yeah that's what's been going on there, yesterday was the day I helped my girlfriend move into her dorm. Saying bye hard for me...but I know she will do fine and have fun there. :) But it was still sad for me and her. We have grown so close during the past year and she and her family has treated me so good. She is one of the nicest, sweetest peopl eI know who cares and loves me for who I am. She has pointed me in the right direction school wise and got me to go back to church. Which was important to me and her. She saved me from the flood of just being down and out and not having almost no direction in life. If we don't make it and something happens I will remember how she changed me for the good and won't forget the past year. But if God intends us to stay together, then we will find a way to. This is a big test for us being away for long periods of time. Though i will talk to her and email her almost everyday which will help, I think if we can go a week without seeing or talking to each other (we did when she went to cayman) I think we can make it through everything. We will see what the future brings. I guess I will leave it on that note and update off an on as usual. I will update before I leave and when I find internet access at Waco. Cyas all! I love you Jaci!!!!!!!!! (It was hard to write this post without crying...)

"You got your ticket, Got your suitcase, You got your leavin’ smile"

Hello all! Just updating my lj again because I'm kinda bored.
What I was talking about the last time is that I was thinking about going into law enforcement. I was seriously thinking about it but I eventualy decided that it would be a good Plan B just in case. I will still fight on to get my degree and become a teacher and a football coach, which is like my dream job basicaly. But I will keep the LEO option in mind just for something else if everything falls apart. it would be a good steady job but dangerous and not as layed back as being a teacher, which i want to be. But yeah, that's my plan b (unless there's a draft, then i will join the Marines...but that is neither here nor there :p)

Other than that, nothing else has been going on. I'm counting the days down till i can quit my job. It is just getting really tireing for me and I am just ready to move on. Try something new, new school, job and city. Hopefully I can get settled in rather quickly and start working hard on getting my degree finally. The classes I want to tak now is another history class and criminal justice and perhaps a political science class if they have those to offer. I just need to get my grades up so I can transfer to baylor (or UTA) and get going on that.

I think that's it for now, I'll ramble on at a later time maybe. Cyas! Love you Jaci! :)
