I'm really not going to be getting any rest at all within the next 3 days. Thursday is engulfed by a double shift at work. Friday I'm sure I'll be itching to dance after I clock out at the job. Saturday afternoon is my nephew's b-day party followed by another birthday celebration of an old friend who happens to be in the band the Anderson Council(they're playing that night).....and sunday we'll be putting some finishing touches on my band's debut EP.

I anticipate total collapse come sunday night.

The cost is $5. Please come!! Sadly, from this point on I believe our shows are going to be as few and far between as they were last year.

in other news.....i've been listening to a fuckton o' Siouxsie And The Banshees due to inundating my iPod with the phenomenal 4 disc 'Downside Up' b-sides collection. Plus I'm rediscovering The Mekons. And the latest B-52s, 'Funplex' is a goodie.

the man is in the early half of his 50s.....and he looks like he just walked off the green-screened set of 300.

my tiny little iPod shuffle is m.i.a. After over 2 years in my possession it decided to vanish into thin air. being without it these past few days kinda drove me a bit bonkers. Not only have I been listening to a cassette of The Pixies 'Bossanova' non-stop(while driving. It's what I found under my seat)but was also subjected to the local gym's horrid mainstream playlist. So....the easter bunny surprised me with an early visit and left behind a new iPod. A "grown-up" model that can hold 8 gigs worth of MP3s(and such). Merry easter to me.

My band was asked to play the W.E. Fest down in Wilmington, N. Carolina on May 22nd which is the first of 3 days. We've accepted....and sorta hope to hit 1 or 2 other venues on the way home....Washington DC, maybe Philly??? [shrugs].

2 hours into my work shift it suddenly felt like someone had used my kidneys non-stop as punching bags. Now I'm dealing with sore joints, mild-nausea and the chills. I've already warned the office manager that I _might_ be calling out tomorrow morning.

The weather is totally suckin' it. the rain is of biblical proportions at this point though various weather reports claim it'll subside by 8 PM this evening. I truly hope that's the case because I have a show to play tonight in Long Branch.

A documentary of the Gun Club has finally been released.....and I'm debating on paddling the floods between here and Vintage Vinyl in Woodbridge for it.....cuz I want it NOW! I'll pick up some sushi on the way back. MMmmmmm.
