Are there any cool events or challenges happening that you want to hype?
What do you just want to talk about?
What have you been watching or reading?
Chores and other not-fun things count!

I just finished my big project during Three Weeks for Dreamwidth. This year I wrote about becoming an expert by reading 3 books on a topic.
I'm still working on poetry prompts from the May Poetry Fishbowl.
I finished making the notes for the half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics that will go up on Monday.

We just finished watching the latest season of High Potential.
I'm currently reading The Cyprian. Oh, and my copy of All the Witches gaming manual.

Date: 2026-05-17 11:50 am (UTC)On the way there, I stopped at A FABRIC STORE !! (New England Fabrics and Decorating in Keene NH.) I did not buy any fabric... this time. I did buy a copy of the New Look pattern I've been unwilling to pay +100% shipping for, which was delightful. Then I scored a great pair of cargo shorts at the LL Bean outlet. On the way back I went to Wonderland Yarns (Brattleboro VT) and got a project bag and some medium-sized clips for sewing projects. Massive success all around.
Yes, I got some stitching done (Upon a Star and Art Nouveau Autumn). No, I don't have progress pictures yet.

Date: 2026-05-17 08:49 pm (UTC)My current long-term project is a latch hook pillow pattern I got from my grandmother at Christmas. I've never done it before, but took to it very easily. I'm going at my own slow, patient pace.
I'm also working on my literal scrapbook again. I have quite a few things collected I've been meaning to glue in. This is a fun, stress free "time waster," for lack of a better term.
Finally, I bit the bullet last night and broke into my origami book I've had for a few years now. Though I try to be precise, my folds always seem to be juuuuust off. I love it.
Things I'd like to work on: more origami, especially some patterns outside of the little book I got; build more of the lego flowers I got for Christmas; make a clay glasses holder for my mom without her finding out, somehow; a lot of things, actually. I'm in a pretty good mood right now!
