Date: 2026-04-11 09:26 pm (UTC)This edition is named for the squealing pipes that have been happening intermittedly, which possible only I can hear. I'm pretty sure part of the problem is the sun hitting the valves outside, because it only happens as the day warms up. It is VERY loud and VERY high pitched, and my parents may have lost that range of their hearing. And of course, now that we're trying to pin it down, it's not happening.
Tonight I'm covering a shift at the cat rescue, and it's the fun shift where you play with the cats, unlike the morning shift where you clean all the kennels (and play with cats)

Date: 2026-04-13 12:30 am (UTC)For the skirt, I made a very simple pattern that I already have. It was fairly successful; I have made some notes.
For the top, I have become overly attached to the idea of view A of New Look 6804. Difficulty: it's an older pattern and not available as PDF. I can order a paper copy, but I'm balking at paying $5 shipping for a $5.99 pattern.
Meanwhile I got my second shingles shot and it is belatedly kicking my ass.

Technically our writer isn't in the system at the moment, but we're getting interested in it again, so maybe others here will try it, on maybe it means she's coming back for a bit
