Join the Jupiter Challenge
The Challenge: Write a new story based on something your wrote or wanted to write before the age of sixteen.
The Jupiter Challenge is a project encouraging writers to go back to the worlds and characters they created in their childhood or early teenage years and use them to inspire new work. What did you want to make when you were thirteen? An adventure about a girl who discovers she’s a vampire princess? A love story that takes place in a space circus? We want you to take those ideas, dust them off, and share them with the world.
Inspired by the way that so many women have connected with Jupiter Ascending, this project aims particularly to celebrate the richness and originality (and sometimes pure strangeness) of girls’ imaginations. However, the challenge is open to writers of all genders. If you were ever a kid with a pencil and a lot of opinions about dragons, this project is for you.
