Major fandoms Lord of the Rings Read the Hobbit and then The Lord of the Rings when I was twelve, and it changed me profoundly. Still my favourite books. The first fanfic I ever read I found through a site dedicated to Boromir. I also wrote my own first fic for this fandom, back when I knew 100 words of English. It was a short fic. OTP: Frodo/Sam. Theirs is an epic lovestory.
Star Trek The Original Series might be old, but it's still damn good television. While the CGI and the costumes and even the acting are frequently unintentionally hilarious, the show deals seriously with deep issues, and was way ahead of its time in a way that none of the spin-off series have been since, in my opinion. Also, did you know that Kirk/Spock was the very first slash ship? No? Wanna know something else? I totally get how it happened. OTP: Kirk/Spock. Cause they're so obviously space husbands. This is the only ship that I genuinely believe to be canon.
Supernatural (CW) Recommended to me by a good friend. While I am not good with horror usually, I've soldiered through Supernatural because it's such a damn exciting show. The first five seasons are packed with great characters, great dialogue and great plotlines, and a LOT of slash. OTP: Dean/Castiel. Boy teaches angel how to feel. Angel falls in love with boy. Boys is too scared to admit his feelings. Everything is beautiful. Then in season 6, angel bangs his head and suddenly thinks he's God. Season 7 tried to pretend angel isn't important part of show, which was a really bad call. Since then, things have gone downwards. This is the ship that could be canon if the Powers That Be weren't such damn cowards.
Heroes (NBC) Another great TV show. It's got superpowers, a host of interesting characters, a complicated, fast-paced plot and seasons that vary a great deal in coherence and quality. Season 1 was top-notch, season 2 was good, season 3 will frustrate a lot of people with its messy plot, and season 4 is boring. Luckily, season 1 can be watched on its own. OTP: Sylar/Mohinder. Because they have amasing UST.
Merlin (BBC) "Merlin" is an incredibly charming show. You will love the characters, you will love how silly it is, and before you know it the show will have taken your heart and put it through the wringer. Such sad. Very destiny. Wow. OTP: Arthur/Merlin. It's become a trend to do reboots of popular stories with soul-mates who hate each other upon first meeting. It was done with Superman and Batman back in the day, and more recently in the Star Trek reboot with Kirk and Spock. In my opinion, "Merlin" has one of the best "first meeting" scenes of them all. From the first moment, sparks are flying between Merlin and Arthur, and from there on they grow to be, in the words of the great dragon: "two sides of the same coin".
The DC universe (DC) Because he’s the goddamned Batman. I've read quite a few comics, but it's the animated verse that I love the most. Justice League, Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond and all the other shows are just so damn good. Well written, well drawn, great entertainment for kids and adults alike. OTP: Batman/Superman. Their relationship is full of different dynamics that I never tire of exploring. Also, they're totally hot together.
Tekken (Namco) Played the game when I was a kid, never really stopped loving it. I guess I'm a bit weird for loving a fighting game for the storyline, especially since said storyline is of standard fighting game quality. My biggest fandom in terms of finished stories, but it’s pretty much all unbetaed porn. Bryan/Lei/Bruce is the most politically correct politically incorrect threesome ever. OT3: Bryan/Lei/Bruce
In my journal you will mostly find fanfiction. A review or a rant might pop up at some point. Some of the stories will be rated adult, but also labelled as such (if I can remember), so kiddies, make sure your parents aren’t close by. ;P
12/07/14: I am not mostly on tumblr, and my stories I post to AO3, where I am also Judin.
