Trick or Treat?

Jumping on that Trick or Treat bandwagon~

♦ Create a graphic (200 x 200 max size) to represent your personal "candy". It should have your username on it, but otherwise can feature whatever you want. Make it something special since it's self-representative.

♦ Make a post with the subject "trick or treat?". Put your "candy" somewhere in it, and be sure to repost these instructions.

♦ Then, go around other people's LJs and reply to them with either "trick" or "treat". If you reply with "trick", they will give you an LJ dare that you have to perform before taking their candy. If you're too wimpy for that, simply say "treat" and take their candy.

♦ List all your collected candies in your original "trick or treat?" post to show off your collection!

Day 25 – A first
The first time I was really drunk. It's embarassing but since nearly my whole school knew about it the next week... it doesn't matter if I post it here (fortunately 80% of the school didn't even know who I was so...).
A friends birthday, an 18th one. Legal age, yay.
It was a combination of beer, wodka, hookah and honey wine. Bad, very bad. Of course I threw up and, even worse, I fell asleep on the toilet.
I locked the door but every 10 minutes somebody knocked and asked if everything was alright. I was all "Yes shut up and let me sleep" - oh my :D

Day 26 – Your fears
I'm kind of always scared to be alone, not able to socialise with others. There was a time where I had no friends or no real ones and I never want this to happen again.

The first day of the markmen's festival started with the torchlight parade - and me driving people around. OTL
I hope I can get some festival's candy tomorrow. Yummy.

Changed Policy towards Scanlation groups

I've just read that there is new policy. That means the publishers want to stop scanlation teams to scanlate their Manga.

I mean, alright. They work and make money with the Manga and it's not fair if the Manga are published illegal so they can't profit of it anymore.
I can understand the publishers to a point.

Otherwise, me who is living here in Germany is worried and disappointed as well. There are only a handful of good Manga in Germany and importing is so fucking expensive, you don't believe it.
I'd love to read all kinds of Manga. I can't read Japanese, but the US and other European countries are so more advanced in Manga than Germany.

So here is my suggestion:
Why not develop some kind of international warehouse for Manga that make it less expensive to export (e.g. a warehouse in every country so you have to pay less delivery charges)? I'd rather pay for books than being not able to read them at all.

I mean... here in Germany you have to pay 6€ for Manga. In the Japanese bookstores you pay mostly 15(!)€. Both is expensive (where are the times Manga were only 5€? Sigh...).
The other problem are the translations. English manga are no problem, I could figure out French and Spanish and even Italian and Dutch, but Japanese/Chinese/Korean? Please, translate more Manga!

I keep this entry public because I have a tiny bit of hope somebody in a higher position might read this.

Oh. Hell. No.

So, dearest Hetalia fans, you may know funimation is going to release Hetalia.

Oh noes.

There are some good aspects, yeah...

- Seeing a professional team dubbing it. That's interesting.
- Extras?
- ...eh, yeah. I think that's it.

Now to the bad things.

- I'm scared of a new wave of fandom. I like our fandom here, there are some jerks in it but mostly nice, understanding people. But I hope Hetalia won't become the new Naruto.
- Maybe horrible dubs. I have no idea abour accents and so on. But I know that a wrong dubbing can ruin the anime (OHSHC *'coughcough*).
- US only. Baccano was streamed on funi's homepage. US only. If they kill the fansubs I will either have to import the DVDs or live without the anime. Eh,
- US only². Nothing against the fans from the USA. Of course, they can be happy to just go into the store and buy the DVDs and maybe even merchandise soon. I'm glad for them. But it doesn't mean that everybody is happy with that - because Hetalia fans are not only in the US. Someone in the thread said something like "Don't whine, you can get the DVDs easily and maybe even merch!" - eh, I can't. I have to import the DVDs and the 2 euros shipping payment less aren't really worth it, especially because it will take weeks to arrive.
Sure, they can be happy but don't diss those who aren't happy with it.
- More bashing. Korea's fight against the series was bad enough. I'd feel sorry for Himaruya-sensei if they'd bash around again just because it's all misunderstanding and false pride.

I have no idea who this guy is they all talk about who may be the voice of Italy or America, though. But the dubbing is not my problem, you see.
besos!
