We know Mathis Fans been missing Johnny since the end of his touring & live appearances in May 2025. Happily, we do have several updates to share with you….

NPR Music & Johnny Mathis

The lovely folks at NPR Music and Johnny’s staff have been working all year on the production of several short videos & Instagram “Stories” highlighting behind the scene events, photos, and lesser known facts about Johnny and his stellar 70 year career.

Sadly due to recent developments in the news all of these “wonderful, wonderful” projects with NPR Music are on hold.  We’re hopeful a solution can be found soon so that production on these projects may continue, and Mathis Fans everywhere will be able to enjoy these unique & fascinating new glimpses into the Legendary Johnny Mathis.

Columbia Records & Legacy Recordings Celebrate Johnny’s 70th Anniversary & 90th Birthday 

There are 2 huge milestones to celebrate, and Johnny’s label & his staff are collaborating on some special announcements online and elsewhere to celebrate the following….

70th Anniversary Career Signing!

On August 30th 1955 Johnny signed his contract with Columbia Records.  While he did have a short 3 year stint with Mercury Records in the 60s, he returned to Columbia and stayed on to this day. 

So while technically its a 67 Year anniversary with Columbia Records & 3 year Anniversary with Mercury, its worth celebrating all 70 years of his career.

Johnny’s 90th Birthday!

 Johnny’s big birthday is TOMORROW on Sept. 30th 2025.

We’ll be posting video messages from his friends & colleagues on Johnny’s official social channels on Facebook & Bluesky ALL DAY LONG TO CELEBRATE birthday.  Johnny’s label Legacy Recordings (catalog division of Sony Music) and Columbia Records will be doing the same, so make sure you’re FOLLOW Johnny & his label through the links below:

UPCOMING Johnny Mathis Unreleased NEW Music

In March 2022 Johnny & his team went into the studio to record not just his most recent Christmas album, but a slew of other songs for another new album.  Right now the album is still in production, so there is no release date yet. But keep checking back so you never miss an album update!

Finally, let’s check in with the man himself! 

Johnny has been doing something he hasn’t been able to do since beginning his non-stop career in1956; Enjoy a relaxing Summer at home. Since his tour came to an end this past May he has had much more time to catch up with old friends, grab a bite to eat, look through some old memories, and even watch some golf.

ALL concerts from June 2025 onwards are now cancelled.
