I don't know if you guys know about this, but Joan has a TV series on the Travel Channel called "Joan Cusack's Local Flavor".

I had no idea! I've missed her first episode in which she travelled to France, but she has 3 more upcoming episodes!


Thursday, October 12th, Joan travels to Portugal and samples stews, cheese pies and seafood. Also: Casa Do Paco D'Ilhas and Sintra's medieval village bakery.

Thursday, October 19th, Joan travels to Italy and goes truffle hunting; visits the Tasty Tuscany cooking school; stops in at Poggio Antico winery in the Chianti Hills; and dines at family-run restaurants in Florence.

Thursday, Ocotber 26, Joan travels to Spain and samples olive oil in Cordoba, pastries from Aracena and sips wines near Barcelona.


All airtimes are at 9:00pm EST and repeats each night at midnight. If I find another airdate for the France episode, I' will let you know! :)

Exciting news!

School Of Rock star Joan Cusack will portray cooking legend Julia Child in a new film. The American gourmet was famous for introducing French cuisine and cooking techniques to mainstream America through her many cookbooks and TV shows. She died in August 2004, just two days short of her 92nd birthday. Cusack says, "Many people don't know all about the real Julia Child. She had this great marriage." The star admits her own cooking skills are less than impressive, adding, "Actually, Julia didn't start cooking until she was 37. I love that about her! It's never too late. Even for me!"

Cusacks get cozy in Chicago

Hollywood siblings JOHN and JOAN CUSACK have bought adjacent penthouses in Chicago, Illinois' Magnificent Mile so the HIGH FIDELITY star can spend more time with his nephews.

The Cusack couple, who remain best friends, are planning an extensive renovation so that they'll both have access to each other's apartments.
