The universe is anti-exercise

So I was being a good girl and going for a walk this morning, but the universe kept putitng little obstacles in my path. They started as small inconveniences then escalated to actual, physical barriers.

Minor annoyances that delayed my departure:
  • Couldn't find my earbuds, then found them in unlikely place.
  • Couldn't get the right playlist up. I need techno or similar. A collection of blues guitar and similar is not going to work.
  • Couldn't get the back fence open. At all. Went out the front door, which requires bulkier keys.

Things that slowed me down or otherwise impeded forward progress:
  • Couldn't get the GPS program set up properly. Had to cancel and restart the route.
  • Encountered a dead black cat by the side of the road. Did the right thing and called animal control to deal with it, but as omens go, that can't be good.
  • Had a text conversation with a friend about computer issues.
  • Debated about giving up on the walk and just heading home, but that would've meant having to walk by the poor kitty again so I decided to go home an alternate route.
  • Encountered major repaving effort on the alternate route that prevented me from crossing the street or taking a slightly longer way back. It was basically: go directly home, do not pass go, do not burn 200 calories.

I can take a hint or ten. Obviously the universe had other plans for me today.

23:39 @alannab99 If you can, watch "The Fall" in Blu-Ray. It was really made for HD as much as an FX-driven movie. #

13:20 @spikewriter Maybe he's a golfer? "Shag" has a completely different meaning to a golfer. #

13:55 Little Sis just called to cancel our outing today. Just as well since I wasn't really feeling into it today anyway. #fb #

14:00 EGM stopped publishing and replaced my sub with Maxim. Suppose if I were typical gamer, that'd be cool. Not 18-34 male, so not cool. #

14:07 At least when Radar stopped publishing (again) they gave me a choice of replacement...not that I wanted Star or Men's Health, but still. #

15:17 @redcloisonne I think Ed McMahon would count in the three. #

16:23 @KellyHK I couldn't moonwalk, but always envied those who could. #

19:31 @alannab99 At least the under-25s know who he was. I'd feel older if the didn't. #

20:28 Once again our PS3 seems to be dead. Or at least unable to output in HD, rendering it pointless, if not completely non-functional. #

20:55 Feeling very Gollum re: technology right now. I hates it, but I loves it, Precious. #
