Last week of term for school. Going to be doing things (programming for a start; Javascript/C++ here I come! The rest is going to either be reading or arting around.)
RSS'ing most of the sites I browse has opened up a gaping hole of time that would have otherwise been occupied checking them. I am almost at 500th RSS feed subscriptions.
I read a paper of sorts about how to defeat Windows DEP protection (again). I was extremely interested in the Return Chaining POC, which (in short) builds code by referencing pieces of it already loaded into memory. Shit is fucking cool.
Also, I think by helping one of my newly aquired army friends, I may be putting myself into a really weird, and possibly bad situation which I want to have no involvement with.
Also a derp, I did it today on my minilap. It's fun working with very limited space;
I also did another derp a few days prior, a sketchy thing on how I can make otherwise featureless characters (aka: my geometric head characters, shoutout to my bro
humblebot) express emotions with head/body positions. I won't post it just yet, since I don't think there's really anything useful in it to anybody else (yet).
Now onto my next mission: reading the Revelation Space saga by Alastair Reynolds.
