Acerkig Update! I finally did it!!!
It was an exhausting but totally fun experience! I wore it for way longer than my previous costume at previous cons because I was having so much fun!!
It was a blast and I got to meet lots of cool people! I’ll stagger my posts out so look forward to seeing more! A few people recognized me, be even some who didn’t still wanted a picture! Very satisfying.
That said I did learn a few thing I plan to implement for my next version!
-larger Chest piece, or at least a longer set of shoulder straps. The assembly was sitting halfway up my chest I. An un-photogenic way.
-The skirt belt worked its way down since the white elastic I replaced wasn’t as strong. Combined with the small chest, it made my midsection super long and my proportions kinda funny.
-Remake the upper arms. They kept sliding down and got munched up by the end. I have some ideas to keep them up.
-Less reliance on Velcro. I’ve established that cheap zippers are the future.
-Charge the neck fan. It petered out and it felt like taking a DoT effect in a video game.
