I doodle at work sometimes and the other day I walked back over to my area and saw my manager had drawn a bow on my Hannibal drawing and she goes, "Look, I made him cutesy. Is that Hannibal? I love that show. Toxic yaoi, right?" WHAT WORLD AM I LIVING IN I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD IM NOT SHITTING YOU GUYS WITH THAT.
i love kim wexler so much 🥹🥹 i want to walk by her on the street and tell her she’s pretty and hear her say “oh! thank you!” does anyone else relate to this completely mundane fantasy
Okay so at work the main thing that gets me through the day is glancing at names on orders and being like, "Oh! That's Character's name! I bet it's their actor in disguise, and when I go out to give them their food they'll recognize what a Big Fan I am and rescue me from my job and we'll take pictures together." And I was just thinking the other day that this consistent level of hope and audacity will probably serve me very well. But yeah it's mostly about BrBa actors. Sorry to any random dude named Aaron coming through the drive thru and seeing my face fall when it's not Jesse Pinkman.
Okay so I haven't quite processed Abigail, Hannibal, and Will's relationship enough but I've had this thought for a while so bear with me. Will very much was not that close to Abigail. She didn't like him very much, and they didn't spend a TON of time together. Hannibal is definitely the glue between the three. Will also wasn't quite as attached/personally involved with Abigail until Hannibal fostered that relationship. Even then it's VERY one sided. Will sees himself as her father figure, but that's very much not reciprocated. To Abigail Will is just some freak of a guy. I don't think Will actually understands Abigail to the level he thinks he does. I think he's invented a version of her from what he knows and what Hannibal's made him think. (I actually think Hannibal does a similar thing to himself, and manipulated Abigail just enough to somewhat fit the idea of her that he has) Will highkey characterizes Abigail in his mind and uses her image as a voice for his own thoughts that he can't see as his own. This is where I want someone else's opinions bc I haven't finished the show, let alone rewatched it. But I want to know what y'all think Will's version of Abigail reflects in him.
On the other hand, it's WILDLY sad for Abigail. I love this girl. Because everything we see of her is filtered through either Will or Hannibal, we never get to see Abigail fully as herself. (not to mention from the moment we meet her she's living through insanely traumatic circumstance that would make anyone act different from usual.) We never see Abigail with full autonomy over who she is. The narrative hates my girl </3
SO ABIGAIL WAS BEING KEPT IN HIS ATTIC FOR THIRTEEN MONTHS?? HANNIBAL WHAT ARE YOU DOING MAN. Imagine if ONE person had been normal about Abigail Hobbs like even once. Everyone around her is such a freak and that's why she died. Abigail honey I'm sorry. And the fact that for the entire show she was COMPLETELY lacking in autonomy. Hannibal didn't even kill her to kill HER, he killed her to get to Will. She didn't even have her own death. And she WILLINGLY WALKED INTO HIS ARMS. Genuinely so blown away by that episode why didn't you guys warn me. I will be Hannibal posting for a while bc wtf did I just watch.
Okay so during Aaron's death scene, his body language noticeably shifts after Miles takes his mask off. And I know, duh, big reveal, but I think it's going to be relevant later specifically because Aaron pulled Miles's mask BACK DOWN, and raised his hands. I think that moment will be paralleled in BTSV. Those actions honestly don't make a lot of sense. If he pulled Miles's mask down to hide his identity from Kingpin, why not just grab Miles and run? What, aside from money, did Kingpin have keeping Aaron working for him that stopped him from running and taking Miles with him? Ultimately that's what killed Aaron. And clearly, a moment's hesitation was enough for Kingpin to get rid of him. So Aaron's job evidently means more to him than he does to Kingpin, it's not an even relationship. How did Aaron get involved with Kingpin in the first place? Additionally, the raised hands are kind of an odd motion in this moment. I could absolutely see this paralleled with Jeff and Aaron, maybe at the moment of their falling out. Basically, all roads in ITSV lead to the moment of Aaron and Jeff falling out. We hear about the before from both of them, we see the after, and the potential effect it had on Aaron's professional life. All we're missing is exactly what happened.
you guys have no idea how important this is to me
I love the three and a half BrBa animators like they're family
The scene where Will has a seizure at Hannibal's house after driving Abel over is so mixed bag emotions. On one hand there's Will's "Please don't lie to me line" and Ohhhhh his voice is so sad please give him a break :( But at the same time Hannibal is pointing directly at Abel, who's having a crazy mindfuck of a day as well, and saying There's No One There!!
"Oh no Will you HAVE to adopt Abigail. As a matter of fact, so do I. Why? I dunno, I was in the room when her dad died :/ Yeah that means she'll have two dads, so what? Yeah those two dads will be us, so what?? And Will, we'll have to be prepared to kiss and makeout and love each other very romantically. WELL BECAUSE ABIGAIL NEEDS TWO REPLACEMENT DADS HAVE YOU NOT BEEN LISTENING," Hannibal in season one, basically.
Imagine: You go to Yelena Belova's office for a meeting with her, but it turns out to be a jacuzzi. She's naked in the water, and demands you take off your clothes and get in.
This is not a fanfiction, but a real thing that happened to my good friend Peter Parker. And it should have been me.
Yelena stand up Yelena stand up. Yelena can you hear me?? Stand up please
