I am so obsessed with your idea of the friend charms, I might actually cry. Of course there should be a platonic version of a love letter. Of course there should be something to let your friends know just how much you mean to them and for them to accept it mean it is a mutual feeling. I think I would actually start sobbing if I received one. I want to try doing this
Our own world needs more platonic stuff like this to be common
Wait till you hear that the Pokemon side of my settings have a specific "friend adoption" relationship that's treated with the same officiality and proposal/courting culture as irl dating, where the exchange is explicitly about trusting the friend to give suggestions with your best interest in mind, and honoring their effort by actually following through with their suggestions (and it's a mirror of the pokemon-trainer connection in battles)
This reads as just being helpful to us but Clarinet is very blatantly courting Mewtwo as an adoptee here (not that Mewtwo is aware)
And of course it being A Thing means there's the usual ribbing about it
