Ok my mother-in-law sent us a puppy.. She is awesome.. she's an English Bulldog and is now 10 weeks old her name is Carmel Queen. We are having so much fun with her, she has personality... :) and yes she is beautiful... I'm going to start showing her when she turns 6 months old and she's already house broke.. only took us two days.. :) Ok now for the pictures..
My sister also got another English Bulldog 4 days after we got Carmel Queen, she got her second male.. the first one is now 2 and his name is Sampson he is on top of the audimen looking down on Sullivan (left) and Carmel (right)
Ok this is my Chihuahua/Pug baby.. :) ok he isn't a baby but he loves to act like one.. hee hee. He has to sit on either my lap or daddys lap while we are on the computer here he is with "daddy" My sister keeps saying that he looks like a mini boxer and I happen to agree with her..lol Ok here he is.
I hope all is well with everyone.. God bless you all Paula
Ok I had my 6months drs appointment today :) and everything is going great.. He said that I have lost 74% of my body fat and that in his records i was only 269 for my first visit and I'm now 171.. so thats 98 pounds by his records. :) yes still progress. My family doc had me at 272 and that I weigh 168 so Im not sure if I go by 104 pounds lost or 98?? I was thinking 101 is a good round number...lol.. and call it even. My docs goal for me is 160 so thats only 11 more pounds to go and he'll refer me to plastics :) yay.. I'm going to bump up my protien or at least get a protien shake in a day, I haven't done that for about two weeks and I can tell the difference I'm more slugish and "out of it" when I don't get the protein drinks in.... I do have low iron, which is par for the course in our family so I'll just take supliments for that.. Over all everything is doing great with vitamins and B12 and Calcium with D in it.. I use Sweet valley calcuim chews and generic childrens chewables daily.. All of my levels (except for iron) are up where they are suposed to be so I'm happy. Hope all is well with everyone Blessings to you all Paula
6 months ago today I had the most amazing surgery that I could have ever had.. Its not for all but for me its saved my life in more ways than one.. I am no longer diabedic.. no more pokes with a prickly thing just to tell me that I shouldn't have sugar.. :) No more high blood preasure medication and the worry of blowing out my kidneys dew to the high sugar and high blood preasure, and no more oxygen or c-pap machine.. :) I have to take a childrens chewable vitamin and yummy chewing calcuim chew.. (there are some awesome flavors out there) and a vitamin B12.. I take cymbalta for my depression but thats just the way I'll always be and I'm ok with that.. :) I have a sex life, if I could get the hubby to have one with me then we'll be doing great.. :) (he is on zoloft and that has a lot to do with the "mood" thing) the parts that count work, but the brain doesn't want to work with it.. :( Ok now some before pics.. :
and this next one if from a few weeks ago

The Spoiled Under 30 Crowd
If you are 30 or older, you will think this is hilarious!!!! If not, send it to your parents! They'll think it's funny!
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were when they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning ... Uphill BOTH ways .. Yadda, yadda, yadda
And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in heck I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!
But now that...
I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a dang Utopia! And I hate to say it but you kids today you don't know how good you've got it!
1. When I was a kid, we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the dang library and look it up ourselves... In the card catalog!! (Do you even know what a card catalog is? Didn't think so!)
2. There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter... With a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there!
3. There were no MP3's or Napsters! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the dang record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and mess it all up!
4. We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it!
5. And we didn't have fancy Caller ID Boxes either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It coul d be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!
6. We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'asteroids' and the graphics were horrible! Your guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE!
7. When you went to the movie theater there no such thing as stadium seating! All the seats were the same height! If a tall guy or some old broad with a hat sat in front of you and you couldn't see, you were just screwed!
8. Sure, we had cable television, but back then that was only like 15 channels and there was no onscreen menu! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on!
And there was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying!?! We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons!
9. And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove or go build a fire ... Imagine that! If we wanted popcorn, we had to use that stupid JiffyPop thing or a pan with HOT oil and Real popcorn kernels and shake it all over the stove forever like an idiot.
10. When we were on the phone with our friends and our parents walked-in, we were stuck to the wall with a cord, a 7 foot cord that ran to the phone - not the phone base, the actual phone. We barely had enough length to sit on the floor and still be able to twirl the phone cord in our fingers. If you suddenly had to go to the bathroom - guess what we had to do..... H ang up and talk to them later.
That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled!!
You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980!
Well its unofficial official.. lol I have lost 100pounds.. by the scales at the YMCA I have lost 104 pounds :) Im hoping to lose more, have about 28 to get to where I want to be.. :) And my 6 months drs appointment is on Feb 14th.. and every three months I'll have my bloodwork done until when ever... :) so far all is doing great. I'm also giving myself a break every now and then. I do have a "sugar free" reese cup every now and then. I can not believe how good the sugar free stuff tastes :) I would have never eaten like I eat now had it not been for this surgery.. I know I had the will power to quit cigs (cold turkey) almost 4 years ago but food was such a different story. I would give myself the excuse that "I lived to eat" instead of "Eating to live" now i eat only because my body needs substanace.. Im not saying its easy, by no means is it easy.. But I have a tool that I use and it certainly tells me when I have over done it.... :) much more than a husband or kids going "do you realy think you need that" or "don't you think you've had enough".. that was never effective, all that ever did was give me an excuse to eat more, and more and more... and then I had a reason why I was so depressed, cause I was so big.. its just a vicious circle.. I started my next term this past Sunday and I'm taking psych 1 and business communication essentials... :) what a combo..lol I better get back to it.. God bless you all Paula
me and my cuz on new years eve :)
that picture is of my sisters new house this past christmas, Im the one in the white shirt(my jeans were very baggy, but that was ok) my husband has the tan coat on (left side of picture) my dad is sitting on the couch, my brother in law was bending my nephew over (on the right side, nephew wanted to learn how to stand on his head, that was so funny, my brother-in-law had to hold his feet up after he was bent down...lol) and my other brother-in-law was the one with his back towards everyone and his wife is the one in the black shirt.. :) It was a great day, i was the first time that all 6 of us sisters have been together with my grandma in one place in 20 years.. Ok now I'll go for now..
