The International Contest of Young Lawyers “Precedent” is an on-line activity for students and young professionals. It's a bilingual contest where you can send the work in English or Russian.
It’s main goal is to give young lawyers and students a place to share opinions and try their skills. At the same time practicing lawyers and the one who is just interested in jurisprudence may participate.
There are two spheres where the participant may choose a case to resolve - intellectual property and private international law. Here’s the list of cases.
You can vote for the works and comment! Here are the approved solutions.
The Contest is held till 21 of June 2010. You can send a work up to June 15.

CALL FOR PAPERS!!

I am calling out for papers, articles, art or any other means of expression for my Post-Graduate women's newsletter. The newsletter is to be distributed electronically in Australia and I am advertising for postgraduate women or women who have recently graduated from a postgraduate degree to submit an entry. Of course articles that are a shorter version of a paper/thesis from a research student are most welcome. Creative entries of creative writing, art, poetry or a review are welcome too. If you do not have anything of such nature but would prefer to write a short article on a topic, topics recently discussed regarding postgraduate women here have been gender balance, children and postgraduate study, safety issues on campus and sexism within student politics. One in five australians suffer from mental illness, especially depression. Most of you on my flist know someone who is affected, or may even suffer from it yourself.

JCU has a large body of students, like myself who has travelled away from home to attend, it would be nice to have a place online to meet and greet.

Whichever campus you are at, feel free to post here, and share your opinions of uni life, the work load, Movies/CDs/Books/functions etc, feel free to advertise items such as books, offer rent to people or request a room mate etc.

I'm sure there are other JCU students out there.
